| Nice photo. Think I would be tempted to pass that on to the powers that be.it was a late deliberate act that could have resulted in a career ending injury.

| Quote: formerlyseuseuwho? "Quite right, donnyhkr. Although Oldham are one of our closest rivals in this division, it was hardly a derby game. I must admit there did seem to be more folk there than for Rochdale. Maybe we were just spread out more thinly? First time I've had to queue for a ticket so far this season too. Puzzling.
As to the game, was far more satisfied with our defensive performance, especially in the first half, against a resilient Oldham team. Their 4th and last try was just an outrageous piece of good luck. All the other 3 were scored out wide, only one of these down the left hand side and that from a high cross kick from young Holroyd.
....and yet another 40 point haul, a cast-iron certainty we have never done that in 5 consecutive home games before.
I thought there number seven was complete pap
As for their no.7, he was lucky to stay on the pitch. Notwithstanding the Waterman tackle, he had cut a tormented figure throughout. Presented Cowling with his try, dropped the ball on numerous occasions, kicked the ball away early on in a hissy fit. His dummying was so good, even his own teammates bought them

| He does look to have deliberately got a hold of one leg at a peculiar angle. Question is, was there any malicious intent?
Only young Gallimore can answer that one.I'd give him the benefit of the doubt.

To be fair, Lee was at an angle to him. I think he would have had a cuff around the ear if any of our players had thought there was malice in it.

The other photos of the set are on my laptop downstairs, I'll have a look and see what the photos either side of that one look like.

Thanks.Wouldn't want to hang him unjustly. I felt quite sorry for the lad. I think he has the makings of a good scrum-half, but his hesitancy yesterday cost him. Frustration is not a bad thing, provided it doesn't lead to thuggery.

| Just looking at the picture I've posted though, Lee has both feet planted on the ground, which increases the potential of an injury occuring.

| I dont think there was any malice in the tackle that Dally did. They are mates. I was having a bit of banter with Lee before the game on Jamie's facebook wall yesterday morning.
It's just one of those moments in RL that happens unfortunatly. Neither side were dirty yesterday, and a penalty count of 7-6 supports that.
Congrats on your win yesterday, you were the better side in the 2nd half.

| Not quite, Jemmo, he/she only said we were better in the second half and only congratulated us on our win, not that we deserved it
Going back to the Lee incident, I have still to be convinced that there was any intent. Surely, he, or any of our players, would have been incensed by it? I'm inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt. The only problem I have with the lad is that he wears his heart on his sleeve and another referee might have penalised him more harshly for his petulance.

| Oldham scrum-half James Dallimore has been charged with the Grade C offence of dangerous contact (using his body forcefully to twist, bend or otherwise apply pressure to the limb or limbs of an opposing player in a way that involves an unacceptable risk of injury) in the 65th minute in the Championship One fixture at Doncaster on Sunday 13th May.

He's received a 3 match ban. Apparently it was the 4th time in 6 games that his conduct had been referred to the RFL.

| Quote: Donny "He's received a 3 match ban. Apparently it was the 4th time in 6 games that his conduct had been referred to the RFL.'"
From the RFL Disciplinary..
Quote: Donny "The Panel reviewed an incident which occurred in approximately the 65th minute of the above Match.
You were placed on report following this incident.
The Panel considered that in completing a tackle on your opponent you forcefully made contact with the legs of the attacking player who had been held in the tackle. As a defender you have a special duty to avoid such contact.
The Panel believed your actions were unnecessary, reckless and could have resulted in an injury to your opponent.
In accordance with the RFL’s On Field Sentencing Guidelines, the Panel consider that such offence is a Grade C offence (Dangerous Contact – Defending player, in effecting a tackle, forcefully makes contact with the supporting leg or legs of an attacking player who has been held in the tackle).
If found to have committed the offence, again in accordance with the On Field Sentencing Guidelines, the normal suspension range for such offence is from a 2 match suspension to a 3 match suspension.
Under the RFL Disciplinary Guidelines you are ineligible to take an Early Guilty Plea as you accepted an Early Guilty Plea on the 17th April 2012. '"
Quote: Donny "Mr Dallimore stated that his intentions were to stop his opponent from driving to the line. Mr Dallimore concedes that his actions may have been dangerous however that there was no intention to hurt his opponent.'"
Quote: Donny "Mr Hamilton CEO speaking on behalf of Mr Dallimore states that Mr Dallimore intended to stop his opponent from driving towards the line.
It is added that the tackle was not completed and that the referee did not call held.
The referee had a clear view of the incident and chose not to penalise Mr Dallimore.
It is argued that Mr Dallimore made no attempt to intentionally attack the knees of his opponent and that this was a genuine attempt to prevent his opponent from gaining more ground.
Mr Hamilton also produced a letter from his opponent which stated that he did not believe that Mr Dallimore had intended him any harm.
Mr Hamilton adds that they believe a Grade C to be an inappropriate grading for this offence.'"
Quote: Donny "The Panel believe that a Grade C is the appropriate grading for this offence.
The Panel believe that the contact with the opponent was with the shoulder against his knees.
The Panel believe that this sort of action is very dangerous and creates an unacceptable risk of injury to the opponent.
The Panel have acknowledged the early guilty plea in relation to the offence, however they cannot ignore Mr Dallimore’s very poor disciplinary record over the last two months for similar offences.
The Panel therefore feel that a 3 match suspension and a £50 fine are in order.'"
Can I choose to disagree with Chris Hamilton and Jamie Dallimore, given that I had a better view than Hamilton, and a similar view to that of the ref (who was about 10 yards closer to the 'tackle' than I was?

Good!
Despite pleas in his defence he has an attitude problem.
And he DID try to injure Waterman. Or at least had no regard for Waterman's safety.
Just like Lima did for Wigan the other year.
I was sitting right next to the incident at the time.
He attacked Waterman's left knee from the side.
