| An interesting quote from the article above ....
'The people of Doncaster have failed to support their club, and it is easy to see why when the marketing budget is perhaps scant due to the stringent measures put in place by the Dons to ensure they are financially stable'.

Another interesting quote from the article above-
Reportedly, they are approximately over £80,000 into the red, a figure which has seen their entire squad on the cusp of being sold.
[size=117SOLD!!! You should be entitled to some sort of fee, surely, though?

| Quote rugbyman="rugbyman"And quotes of gates lower than expected, they said they were budgeting on 700 at the beginning of the season and most of the sensible fans knows that we have beat that number on quite a few occasions this year, so how many freebies have been given, or what was the true figure that they budgeted for?
How as the debt gone from £40000 to around £80000, i know some of the players were on contracts from last year but a lot are on playing terms only.
we must have saved in the region of £40000 - £50000 from Bauer, Green, Handforth, Briggs and Haley going, who i presume were contracted players.'"
it will never happen but i for 1 would like to see the budget and see where all the money budgetted for has gone! ive said it before someone or some people have seriously done wrong at our club AGAIN and i know fans from other clubs are saying nice things on here but people of doncaster are either ed off or laughing at us!

The Dons would not have saved 40K TO 50K just yet on the players contracts, they have only just recently left, the Taxman also puts interest on what is owed to him on a daily basis and I’m sure that sponsorship would have been placed into the projections to run the club (Credit crunch has killed off the companies that the Dons would have been targeting)

I thought the club were been advised on business & financial matters by a group of local business people surely a good piece of sensible advice would have been to to always make sure your payments to the Inland Revenue & VAT are always paid & up to date yet it is rumoured the club owes the inland revenue around £40k
Nat 1 teams receive £100k from the RFL this season somethig they didn't get last season & we were told we were starting off a debt free club this season and wouldn't be living beyond our meams yet half way through the season we are in administration with debts of around £80k how as this happened in such a short period of time ?
