| Cannot believe that , I thought we played really well in the 1st half . We looked well in control even though we played into the wind. Boyle had a very good 30 mins & we looked a useful side .
2nd half was woeful , penalty lead to a try , we lost all cohesion . They controlled the half even though we scored an early try & conversion .

| Agree we were competitive in the first half but after the break:
Too slow, decision making and actions
Too lethargic, we looked leaden legged
Lack of respect for the ball, on the two occasions in the second half when we held onto the ball and played direct football, we put ourselves in scoring positions.
Too many needless penalties, why oh why is this a recurrent theme?
I appreciate it's early doors, but something has got to change if we are going to be in the play offs.

| In the two games the Dons have played against Barrow & Workington this season they have been winning at half time but in the second half of these two games they have conceded a total of 40 points with Barrow scoring 24pts and Workington scoring16pts is there a fitness problem?

| Not a fitness problem Geoff , discipline is the main issue . Mistake or Penalty = try.
Its not the coach who gives the penalties away .
We should have gone on & sealed the game in the 2nd half.

I think you will find Barrow had at least eight penalties against them in the first half but they didn't concede 24pts

| Fascinating Geoff. Glad you were there to see it. The hyperbole here is a bit much. Yes we lost. There are still positives and yes negatives. We have the making of a promotion winning side. Oh God. Life's too short for this.

| We looked good in the first half and seemed on top as the half progressed. I was hoping we could extend the lead by half-time as I thought that could be the game-breaker. We didn't but we scored first in the second half to make it 16-8. To then concede 24 points in the last 25 minutes was disappointing especially as Barrow scored one try when they were down to 12 men.
Big Barrow prop Duffy scored two tries from relatively short range and another try was a Kesik-style dummy and sneak over from dummy-half. We've got to do better in these situations.
We looked quite slick when we moved the ball about in attack. Both wingers did well driving the ball out of defence too. Bravo looked a useful customer when he came on. I can see him and Jason Tali teaming up well.
The problem is that you can't concede 32 points in a game and expect to win. I know the last try on the hooter was unfortunate but we need to tighten up the defence and manage the opposition 'big blokes' better.
Putting the result aside, there were some positives today but there is also plenty to work on.

| Quote: Stand-Offish "As an aside, I have in the past compared us with Warrington in our style and team composition.
Both entertaining on their day but with smallish packs.
Boy did the Wire get their backsides kicked yesterday through mainly a lack of go forward.
The same will not happen to us tomorrow but it just shows size matters.
Not always granted ...'"
The comparison to Warrington (a team you may have worked out I see quite a bit of) is spot on. Two teams with playing rosters that most clubs in their respective competitions would envy, yet both continue to be much less than the sum of their parts. You do have to wonder why?
