I tend to find that I start to believe we’re better than we are after a win and that we’re worse than we are after we’ve lost. It takes a few days after a match for the logical part of my brain to take over the emotional part and for me to see things in a more realistic context.

No doubt, if we win today, I’ll start to hope we might be able to go up. If we lose, we could be out of the play-off places and I’ll feel deflated.

I hope the fans that go can get behind the lads and help give them a lift. I’m pretty sure I won’t be able to make it unfortunately.

My line of work is statistics so I tend to see things in terms of percentage chances of something happening or not happening.

In terms of today’s result, I’m sort of 60% loss and 40% win – just hoping the 40% win comes good!

With Newcastle beating Keighley, it means that if we win against Newcastle we will be guaranteed a play-off place.

No, I didn’t factor in the draw which was rather remiss of me!

I don’t think it’s all over yet though. Newcastle were excellent when we played them earlier in the season and by the way they won against your boys today, we need to give them plenty of respect next Sunday.

Keighley should have a good chance of beating Workington next week. Then it’s a toughie at Barrow when we travel to Toronto.

I don’t think many Dons fans thought we’d have a chance of winning two play-off games in Cumbria but today’s game at York, and our recent home win against Whitehaven, suggest Richard Horne’s starting to make some headway.

I really enjoyed our matches against Keighley this season, KRLFC, by the way.

Newcastle looked good when they played us on Pitch Two but seemed to have gone off the boil recently.

They'll need to beat us next Sunday to keep their play-off hopes alive.

Well that was close .

Some good tries today including 1 from Barnett , but he still has a problem defending the high ball . Miloudi scored a couple of tries .Discipline was better . The ref gave some strange decisions including a penalty against Hedges at the play the ball .
