Championship and League One launch today, Dons in the Maroon kit.

Personally I really like both shirts , the maroon home kit is a winner for me.

I'm sorry to hear that. Will miss the Blue & Gold.

Also disappointed fans weren't consulted about it first.

Why consult the fans ?

The club has taken the decision to try something different for a change , the maroon is different I grant you but would you rather we played in rovers red and white?

If you don't like the shirt buy the away kit ,its not rocket science.

The club cant do right for doing wrong in some peoples eyes , we have assembled what looks like a good squad for the season and people are moaning about the colour of the shirt and not attending matches because they were not consulted.

I think a few of the moaners on here and cleggbook are the very same people that said "If Kyle leaves i'm never setting foot back in the KM" ………...well don't .

The club is trying its best to deliver on its objectives, if you want to be consulted on which trap RH takes a dump then try putting your money where your mouth is.

I like the maroon too ... it's different.
But I don't ever think falling out is a good direction to take.
From a business point of view purely, there is a maxim that states ...if you don't listen to what your customers want, then you're asking to fail.
But I'm a maverick anyway ...let's have a shake up!

I will give a valid reason why the club should consult.

BECAUSE at the Supporters Liaison meetings I attended COMMUNICATION was a key word.

Lets face it , the club is hardly going to go to the wall because 20 people don't buy a shirt.

We still have a blue and gold option if that's your choice , I admire the idea of thinking out of the box and trying something different.

Far too often the club is criticised for trying to offer something new, we have the makings of a good season with the team we have and the doom mongers are at it again.

If another club were to have signed Watson ,Rangi and Matty, three of the best halves in the league if not the Championship people would be asking why we had not signed them...……………..Well we have and Club Donny has put their money where their mouth is to try and give us the fans the best chance of reaching the Championship, and all we can do is whine about a shirt colour.

I think some on here would rather us fail so they could say" I told you so" , Rugby League needs to evolve , the days of the past are gone , the club is on the up , with the world cup and the likes , never forget your history but always keep moving forward.

Think out of the box by all means but consult also .

If folk are willing to fall out over this then they were not worth falling in with in the first place. This club has had more 'upsetting' history than the colour of a sodding shirt.

I'm on about folk falling out with other posters over a difference of opinion or preference and NOT the shirts.
I do find it bizarre though that someone should say to any DONS FAN ..if you don't like it lump it or don't go.
The people on here DO GO and on the Cleggbook they DO GO and that will continue.
Only a very few post who don't go anymore.
I think anyone that does go has an equal share and a valued opinion.
Just saying...

I don't think people will fall out over this. I don't think it will stop any genuine fan from attending.

Nevertheless, people may have strong feelings about our heritage blue and gold.

In previous seasons fans have been consulted on the design of the blue and gold strip (and away strip too). I believe fans appreciate being consulted.

I bought the maroon one today I held both shirts up together and the maroon one stands out more to me
