I think we're all a bit deflated to be honest at the moment. We're all wondering which Cougars side will turn up. Will it be the one that beat Toulouse in the Challenge Cup and beat Swinton or will it be the one that abjectly lost to Skolars and South Wales and were lucky to get a win at your place.

I think your team will turn up, the defeat at Oldham will have hurt an it's a big game for the league placing and the plays off's. Should be a belter. Here's to it.

As long as they beat our rivals starting with Keighley next Thursday, that's all that matters now.
It would be a bit of an annoyance if after two competitive games against us, they didn't have to go flat out against our rivals and lost.

It is, but the lads should be going to Keighley and treating this game as a cup final. Because if we could win this one, we would be set fair for second place.
I watch so many away sides in the Thursday night games on Sky blow great chances of victories. They self-destruct by giving away silly penalties, fumble the ball through nerves and make the wrong kicking choices.
It's about playing tight, error free rugby with discipline, it doesn't have to be flashy. The pressure that results from that will tip the balance towards the side keeping their cool and playing percentage rugby.
Hopefully we will play with confidence and cut out the stupid stuff and we will surprise Keighley.
We don't want a start like Rochdale away, dropping the ball, not completing sets and turning the ball over for the first 15 minutes.
We need everyone to get a feel of the ball and then start to play. Nice and steady.

| Full time, Keighley 34 Dons 6. Disappointing score, but well done Keighley, good side on their own turf. Two weeks off, recharge the batteries and lets gets maximum points from the last three games.

Really good arm wrestle in the first half. You had most of the field position first half down the slope but I thought our defence was outstanding.
Second half you looked tired and then we took control.

| I went, I wished I hadn't.
Jemmo you were a lucky guy missing this pile of crap.
That was without doubt the worst performance I have seen all season. I wondered if I was in some time-warp and had been transported back a season.
Keighley were actually nothing special. What they did have that we didn't was some forward power and a heap of team spirit.
We looked like we didn't want to be there. Never mind win.
Spaven had a mare. And it showed that if Spav doesn't do it it doesn't get done.
He needs help and that won't come from Kesik. Miller get real!!!
Get a proper bloody stand-off/scrum half!!!
Their forwards were better than ours, I talked to a few people at the end of the first half and they disagreed. Is it me???
They certainly duffed us up in the second half.
We never looked like threatening their line in the second half, full marks to their defence, but we were woeful.
Specifics .... Bovill and Coady get rid NOW!!!!!
Or at least drop them!
Why the hell is Sanderson, a try scorer, not playing??
We will probably bounce back well against Whitehaven ... we need to.
That side would not have won away at Gateshead!!!
We continued playing one-out rugby down the middle and not playing to our strengths out wide even when it was obvious it wasn't working. They deserved what they got!
A fortnight's rest and a lot of soul-searching I think, we would be disgraced in a final playing like that, if we ever got there.
I am losing faith in the team selection.
I am off for a week's hols and won't be posting, so won't be here to defend myself should I get some flak for being honest.
But, so what?

| I wished someone could explain what happens in training.
One man rugby, no running at angles, players who can be dangerous not seeing the ball all game, not a single set move and unfortunately Spavin trying all sorts of moves that nobody else in the team seems to know about!
IMO we are in the high position that we are in due to the fact that we have some good young players however when we go against a team with a little nous about them, our tactics tend to be sadly lacking.
At the beginning of the season our forwards were able to keep the ball alive, today it was back to seventies again.
Although we will get into the play offs and fail gallantly, this season will be seen as another improvement!!!
