Yes, both brothers signed for Widnes but Stanton went back home. I read that he was homesick but he possibly also wanted to go back home to complete his studies. |

Leeds could be set to offload another prop before the start of next season, with PNG international Wellington Albert likely to move on. The Rhinos have already let 10 players go during the off season, including forwards Brad Singleton, Brett Ferres and Nathaniel Peteru.
Albert now looks set to join them after less than a year with the club. The 25-year-old spent most of last season on dual-registration at Featherstone and was given the number 35 shirt by the Rhinos ahead of next year. A move to the Championship is believed to be an option, while he could also return home to represent the PNG Hunters in Australia’s Intrust Super Cup competition.

I'm sure I read some time back about recruitment and money and I read that as apart from looking at a few trialists and talking to a few other players that was pretty much that.
So probably three trialists and that's your 24.
We can hope, but it's getting a bit late now for a surprise package even if it is Christmas soon.
Very little bedding in time for a newby will be left ...

Agree we need a couple of middles.
Logan, Smeaton,Peltier , Boas & Carter are good signings for a C1 club . Do not know much about Rickett.
We have retained some good players also.

I fully agree with Weighman. A couple of big forwards and we could have the makings of a very good side.
Poor season ticket sales is the result of under-achieving last season. The only way to get people back now is to be successful on the field.
Maybe a few more fans could be persuaded if any additional signings are of a high enough standard. |
