I have to be wary of what I post now as I don't want to be accused (falsely) again of and I quote.
We don't have enough players, we are banking on being propped up by Hull FC as it's "cheaper" than signing players of our own, Club Doncaster doesn't want to invest in the Don's to any degree it seems.
There is the question of cup tied Hull FC players I suspect they will be less forthcoming with players during cup games, and what happens should we draw Hull FC in the cup? Do you think they are going to send us 5 quality players then? more to the point who's bench will our coach be on???
In the unlikely event (IMHO) that we get promoted this year what are we going to do for players next year, I doubt Hull will be as keen to lend players of Championship level to us and we'll not have many who we have developed and grown via our promotion push. DR is not providing a stable base for growth and development it's a short term fix that has been shown to be flawed over the past few seasons.
We shouldn't be hopefull that Hull will send us 5 players every week, they should be named, signed up and part of the Dons setup for the entire season.'"
You've made an assumption that it's cheaper to do the new DR arrangement. Do you know this for sure?
If missing out in the cup is a consequence of having a better chance of promotion, then I can live with that. If we drew Hull in the cup, it wouldn't matter which bench Richard Horne was on, we'd be out.
I suspect that Hull would quite like us to be competing in the Championship as it would be a better place for their players to play.
If the new deal with Hull is worth the paper it's written on they should be sending us five players every week. Whether they're signed up for the full season doesn't actually concern me. If we get five kids every week, I'll not be best pleased either.
In theory the new arrangement with Hull is a good one. How it works in practice, only time will tell.
