| Here's your answer Mr Hall, just when supporters think the team has turned the corner a performance like this is put on against a team that should have been beaten. That's why supporters are not coming back.Maybe it was the weather again and the pitch was too dry. Oops just remembered, the Dons will be at their best on dry firm pitches.Total and absolute rubbish.

| I really think losing by a point is absolutely taking the p/ss out of yourself.
Please please spare us the bollox of taking positives from defeats Carl and RH.
The sooner Barrow go up the better and we stop the pretence of possibly getting promotion.
Christ we don't even deserve it!

| The turning point seems to have been when Louis Sheriff got sin-binned. I think we gave away 12 or 13 penalties as well.
In terms of the league positions, nothing much has changed with Keighley going down at Whitehaven.
Big game coming up at York next.

There's nothing like clutching at straws.
As long as it is mathematically possible we will continue this delusion.

| Nothing for us at at York on this type of form. To be fair Haven and Barrow deserve to be in the playoff final, with the exception of York the rest are just not good enough and the season long results are a perfect indicator of that fact.
Had a quick look on Facebook and the fans who went say that we piggy backed them up the field with penalty after penalty
(the one thing we do seem to be consistent at)

Is a dream a lie if it don't come true. Or is it something worse?: |

| Quote: Double Movement "With all teams having four games left to play there is still everything to play for.
TableW/E 20th AugustW/E 3rd SeptemberW/E 10th SeptemberW/E 17th September:
Toronto v Dons
Barrow v Keighley
Workington v Whitehaven
York v Newcastle
It's a hard game for the Dons to finish on especially as Toronto may still need to win the game to be crowned champions. Keighley have a hard game at Barrow. York perhaps have a slightly easier challenge.
On balance, I'm slightly more concerned about Keighley catching us rather than whether we can overtake York. A defeat for the Dons at York would almost certainly mean we can't catch them. With their better points difference, it means they'd have to lose all of their other three games and we'd have to win all ours.
A win against York would opens things up nicely but we'd probably still have to win in Toronto to finish fourth.
Keighley are the bigger concern but three of their four remaining games are away from home. They'll fancy their chances of beating Workington in their one remaining home game but trips to Whitehaven, Newcastle, and Barrow will be tough. They need to win one more game than us to overtake us.
Four wins out of four for the Dons mean Keighley can't catch us; three wins out of four means we should be okay; two wins out of four could spell danger but might be okay; one win out of four and I think we'll be in trouble as I fancy Keighley to beat Workington and Newcastle. That would be enough for them to overtake us.
Fascinating stuff!
Good analysis but your loss at Workington today has thrown a spanner into the works! On paper Doncaster and Keighley should be on level points at the end of the season with Keighley advancing to the play offs due to a better points difference but I have no confidence with how Keighley are playing at the moment and I certainly wouldn't bet against you at York ... keep your head up and good luck.

| See Carr played. Hes not putting it in, thinks he's ok coz he got next years contract tied up, no need to put any effort in and he isn't doing.
i'd tear his contract up now.
can't pass can't tackle and just runs round like a headless chicken.

| Hope TC played because Miloudi was injured . He did pick up a knock last weekend & defended on the wing for a period !
I would have played LS at fb , but hey ho .
Seen on Total RL fans that Miloudi has signed a 2 year deal with Hull, (not official ).

I listened to the commentary of the Keighley game on BBC radio Cumbria. It seemed as though Keighley were a bit flat after the very hard games against Toronto and York. After a week off next weekend, they could bounce back to their best.
If we lose to York and Toronto (both of which seem favourites to happen), we might only end up with two more points. Keighley would need to win at Newcastle and beat Workington at home to claim fifth spot. Basically Keighley need to win one more game than the Dons to get ahead of us.
I wish the rest of the season had been as interesting as the play-offs. They've got to change the league structure for next season. Good luck to you KRLFC too. I suspect we'll be crossing swords again in this division again next season, but it's a funny old game, and strange things can happen. The Cumbrian sides do seem to have a little bit extra than both the Dons and Keighley at the moment though.

I wasn't clutching at any straws. I was making reference to the points made by the Radio Cumbria commentator and the Workington coach after the match.
We probably all know that we're not amongst the top two teams in the league and that we probably don't deserve to go up but the players, coach, and fans can't just throw the towel in because we're clearly not the best.
