| Important question:
What beer did they have in the concourse? They only had that awful 1879 stuff up in the bar.
Need to decide if I need to start drinking Guinness at games

| I had a pint of that 1879 stuff and enjoyed it, as i also enjoyed the game.
As said wilko and waterman looked good, good to see Waller back and looking trim!
I am also glad we ran the ball at the end we nearly got through for the try.
Well done the Dons a decent game for the first of the season and without cookey or snitch.
Does anyone know what we actually had the TRY disallowed for?

If its the Mitch Clark 'try', Brad Foster tipped the ball forwards as he went through, the ball then went to a Hull player, who miscontrolled it straight to Clark, who scored it.
I have to say, the Touch Judge was in a cracking position to spot it, and I was stood behind and to the left of him, and spotted the same.

Fair enough you clearly had a different angle to the rest of us - speaking of which I saw a camera in the gantry on twitter, will there be highlights of the game coming later?

| One idea would be to try all of them and then decide which you like best

Or in the case of the Sheepcoat Stadium, the brew you dislike the least!
Sheepcoat Stadium it's where you get fleeced ...

I didn't get a DVD post match, but I'll see what I can get done with the rest of the games.

| With regard to the attendance at the Hull game, the Dons official site is stating there was an attendance in excess of 1500, but no specific figure given.

The beer thread has drawn me into comment
It would be good if someone at the club looked at this and considered the beer and the demand for real ale. This month would have been a perfect opportunity for marketing the proper stuff at the Keepmoat. The Dons have four consecutive home games, the Rovers have two well attended games coming up in Barnsley and Notts County at home. Is it not beyond the comprehension of Club Doncaster to have one eye on the fixtures coupled with the shelf life of real ale and put the two and two together.
We have a real ale thread running on this board that's a prime example of supporter interest. Bloody hell, someone must be capable of joining up the dots ?
The bloke who has poured (no pun intended lol) all his savings into the success that is the Doncaster Brewery Tap would be a decent starting point of contact for the club IMO.

| According to the Hunslet forum, they are playing Salford at home the day before they play us.
Not sure what that will mean for the squad they send to us on the Sunday, or the fitness of anyone who may have to play in both

Someone started joining up the dot but his pencil broke at no. 2.
He's still working out how to put a new point on
But seriously a great idea and also the point about using a local like Doncaster brewery tap. WHY NOT!
Definitely a an opportunity missed sometimes i think it would be better with supporters running some things.

I also think I read somewhere that Rovers may have a match scheduled for then if they beat Bristol? Seen as there are 2 weeks between our last friendly and the league start it might be best to move it? On the Hunslet board most don't seem too keen to attend both.
