Tuffour's try saving, diving tackle on Campbell which saved a certain try was a gem.
In fact Dennis had a great game all round.
As did so many of the lads.
I think we scored 10/10 for application and effort on what was a terrible day.
We nullified to a large degree a better side.
I just thought we made some dumb decisions at times and weren't composed enough to keep Batley penned into their own half and put them under enough pressure.
I always thought that Batley stayed composed and didn't panic and had the edge in creativitity.
But they were there to be beaten, we weren't inventive enough to prises them open enough, although we played notably better with only one dual reg player in the side.
I note that Butts played exactly how dreamed he would, like a forward cum centre. He's found his niche, he had a cracker.
He's the new Carl Hughes already.
All in all a good game of rugby.
You would have thought that Batley had won the cup at the end what with their player booting the ball off the paddock into the stands.
