A damn sight more work had gone into promoting the previous game.

| Fantastic effort today Massive praise for everyone . With all the injuries I feared the worst but the reports about team morale and team spirit are obviously bang on. Dug in deep when needed against a very big and physical side, who looked like most sides would lay down against and let them steam roll over. Not too be and to play all the second half with just a couple of interchanges is a huge effort and full credit to the players and the fitness coach. Hope that the injuries are not that bad and it would be a huge shame to lose the lad again for a length of time, as said, on his first game back.

| Forget what any of our opposition sides say - the start of this season we have looked nothing short of excellent.
The narrowest of defeats to Dewsbury and joint top surely supports this even if we are only a few games in..
This seems to be the most bonded group of players that I have seen since the great promotion team.
had we not had injuries we would have scored more - but it was refreshing to see us continue to play positive despite so much change - this being critical in keeping Worky on back foot...
Not one man let the side down and Fawcett, Spavin, Kesik and Ely just have so many creative options and confidence.
Big well done to the forwards, Scott, Carbutt and Green were all superb....
Difficult again to call a MOM
Well done to TM and Co and let's hope the injuries are not too serious as we need evey player..
Hope Dobek's injury is not too serious...
COYD!!!!!!!!!!
PS Lawtons tackle at end was class and was no way high...

I think it was a head injury that stopped him. He said that he'd been suffering from food poisoning during the week, then took a bang on his head in the early second half, which just stopped him.

| My first game today for 18 months. Basically got fed up with the boom and bust, and a spate of redundancy thrown in the middle.
It will not be 18 months until my next game. Great defence, seemed to make good yards at each play, excellent passing and always looking to make the pass. The team spirit was fantastic. Thought the crowd was poor and Rugby of that quality deserves a larger audience. Can't wait for the next game, when other long term absentees will be dragged along. Well done to Tony and the team, and Carl. My faith has been returned.

There was some talk of a bug effecting some of the players and staff. I presume it's the same stomach bug that TM spoke of. Makes the effort today even more praiseworthy

| Got told afterwards that Butterfield was also taken to hospital. he suffered some sort of burst blood vessel in his knee, and his knee had ballooned out. I cant remember the word i was told, i had never heard of it before, but it does not sound good at all

| Proud to be a Dons fan tonight, team played with so must passion and no lack of ability.
The forwards were tireless, especially Scott and Carbutt.
Carbutt's enthusiasm was superb
Credit goes to Tony and his staff

Haematoma. Basically an extreme version of a dead leg. I must admit, it looked like he'd strained his knee when I first saw it, it could be a very nasty injury.

| Quote: Jemmo "Great stuff today considering all the injuries and illness before the game and the injuries picked up during it. Professional job done! Just unlucky to give them a bonus point they didn't deserve.
Although looking briefly at the Workington forum it's only cause they played badly that we won, which takes the percentage of games we've ever won only because of an under performing opposition to 100%. were the luckiest team in history obviously!'"
I don't think for one minute that the Town fans are saying that Jemmo. Yes they are saying that our team played poorly and that your lads showed more enthusiasm than ours but no-one has said that you did not deserve to win. We did pinch a bonus point from you and we'll take that but please don't try to give the impression that we are saying you only won because we were poor, that's a bit of a cheap jibe, not your normal style. We are sorry that we couldn't have been more competitive like we were last week against Oldham but best of luck to Donny and we have to play you another twice yet this season.
