Made me smile too.

I'm also amused by the idea that if a match ball lands anywhere near you at any point, strictly speaking you can't throw it back towards the playing area as 'The throwing of any object or objects within the grounds is strictly forbidden'.

I think this aimed at us and Seagulls who are not used to playing in a stadium of the calibre of Halliwell Jones.

Can cr*p and offensive reffing also be banned? As that is the biggest threat to ruining any game.

It's a pity the security wasn't so tight in the car park when some poor soul from Halifax was half kicked to death by some lowlife from Fev the other year. Nothing happened and it was all forgotten about. I can't imagine how no one saw it happen.

Are sponge fingers allowed, both the Mr Kipling and foam hand variety??? Maybe this will confuse the RFL who may need to put up notices at both the food bar concession units and merchandise stands to state their intentions on the matter.

Also, what if fans are under the influence of a hypnotist????

A mexican wave will not be tollerated and will be deemed as major crowd control trouble.

Any mexicans will therefore be tied to all seating prior to kick off.

Chanting at or near the resonant frequency of the stadium, irrespective of what that may be in Hz, is strictly forbidden as this may damage the structure of the stadium.

Instead chanting shall not be done in unison due to the problem of increase in amplitude of vibration at resonance and the possible collapse of the stadium.

Chanting shall therefore be done on an individual basis, not collectively, and in a phased way so as to minimise risk.
Chanting shall also be done in a muted way so as to further reduce risk.

Also each supporter will have to have completed a risk assessment form to demonstrate that they have taken the duties and responsibilities of being a supporter and all that that may entail into account.

Research has shown that supporting cannot be treated in the same casual way it once was. Although supporting still comes with certain rights, albeit very limited, more importantly supporting comes with important responsibilities.
Supporters lose sight of these new changes at their peril!

Anyway, no doubt we will think of more ways to improve your safety at matches, but until such times please be careful and above all enjoy yourselves responsibly.

Yours
Very pernickety

A. Jobsworth

All fans are advised to travel early to the ground. Please do not plan to arrive close to the kick-off times as traffic in the area will be heavy and delays are inevitable.

By Road

From the M62 - Leave the motorway at J9 - onto the A49 and follow the brown tourist signs - please note that there are speed restriction cameras along the A49.

From the M6 - Leave the motorway at J22 (signposted Warrington) at the roundabout take the third exit onto the A49 and follow the brown tourist signs - please note that there are speed restriction cameras along the A49.

By Rail

Central Railway Station is approximately 400 meters from the Stadium and serves the East/West Trans-Pennine route. Bank Quay station is approximately 1km from the stadium and serves the North/South mainline; Please check with your local station regarding departure and arrival times.

By Bus

The Halliwell Jones Stadium on the A49 Winwick Road, is located on a high frequency bus route. Warrington bus station is approximately 500 meters from the Stadium. Information on bus timetables can be found on the Warrington Wolves web-site. Click onto the stadium tab and then maps and directions.

Car Parking

There are numerous car parks both private and public that are within easy walking distance of the Stadium. Standard charges will apply for public car parks, charges for private car parks will be at the owners discretion. From a crime prevention perspective Cheshire Constabulary advise that spectators do not leave any valuables on view.

Tesco Car Park

Tesco shopping centre car park, adjacent to the Stadium, is strictly for use by Tesco customers only. The car park is also stewarded on match days. Please do not park your car in this car park unless you have a valid pass for the event as you will be issued with a fixed penalty fine of £50.00

In conjunction with Warrington Wolves & Warrington Borough Council there is a controlled parking zone around the stadium. This is to ensure that match day parking does not inconvenience local residents or cause road safety problems. Controlled zones are clearly marked and fines will be imposed for illegal parking.

Spectators with disabilities

There are 30 dedicated accessible car parking spaces on-site, located at the rear of the East Stand. Additional car parking may be available but would not be dedicated accessible spaces.

Accessible car parking is issued on a first come, first served basis.

To pre-book a space please contact the RFL Customer Service Centre on 0844 856 1113.

Wheelchair entrances are located at Gate A (NW corner & Gate 20 NE corner).

Coach and Mini Bus Parking

There is no on-site parking at the stadium for coaches, mini buses or cars. Coaches will park either on Matalan car park on Winwick Road or at the ASDA depot on Dallam Lane - both official & unofficial. Temporary directional signage will be in place to direct coaches & mini buses to the designated parking areas.

Coaches parking at ASDA Depot will drop off & pick up spectators on Dallam Lane and will follow a designated route which will take them off the A49, down Buckley Street and onto Dallam Lane. After drop off coaches will then be directed to park at the ASDA Depot. Coaches MUST NOT unload at ASDA Depot.

Just prior to final whistle coaches will depart from ASDA Depot and line-up on Dallam Lane ready for spectators to embark.

Further details regarding designated coach parking areas will be published once the Championship & Championship 1 finalists are known. There is no charge for coach parking. Match tickets will NOT be provided by the RFL for coach drivers.

This applies to those huge flags which go across the crowd NOT the little 5x3 flags you can buy online etc. Applied to all grounds. Even Wembley tell you "5x3" or "big flag with certificate" (funny that they dont appear to be able to cope with anything inbetween.)
