| There is just something very special about the team spirit in the Dons side.

| Great result! Funnily enough, the last time I saw us nil any opposition was way back in the mid-Eighties and the opposition? Yes, you've guessed it, Workington, but it was 30-0 then. In all honesty they were lucky to get nil.
Brilliant in defence, a bit clueless going forward. Not until the last five minutes did we suddenly realise that Workington were playing with 12 men. Was like a warzone; Robinson seemed to be poleaxed by Thackray, Kesik limped off, Spiers and Lawton were more or less carried off. Man of the Match was officially Carl Hughes, but I felt it should have gone to Lucas Walshaw, who made good yards every time he had the ball.
We capitalised on every half-chance, which was great to see, as was Powley with his elusive running.
We've already gone way beyond anything I imagined at season's kick-off and to achieve what we have achieved has gone way beyond bonus territory.
Well done again to everyone concerned

| Well done Donny, im usually covering Super League and as such i dont usually get to cover the lowewr reaches of the Championship but have done your last 2 games and its been a breath of fresh air at times, some of the Super League is so sterile and predictable compared to the Championships, ill have my stuff online tomorrow.
See ya all next week and good luck

What a team effort ! every one played his heart out. We could have been bullied out of the game but they were dumped on their fat a**es to the last minute. What a pity more fans missed out on another epic game.

| What a lot of one-eyed blinkered fans you are. I was at the match today and you struggled against 12 men to get out of your own half in the second half. You deserved to win but come on if you think you can beat barrow playing like that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| To be fair Hugh, most Dons fans have commented on a superb defensive performance from our part. Yes we are all probably slightly worried that we didnt have much ball, but you had 70 to 80% possession in the second half and you couldnt score. But to also highlight you had twelve men, ive seen plenty of games in my lifetime where teams with 13 men have been losing and suddenly following a sending off play a damn site better and win the game.
You certainly improved following the sending off and you had to. Two decent sides on the field today, but sorry, for so much possession and to be nilled. i cant think for one minute we will be forced to defend for as long next week (i bloody hope not anyway)

| Yes I think Mr Mann has got hold of the wrong end of the stick.
I think that we did well to defend our lead, which must mean that we were under great pressure.
I think that says a lot for both sides.
It just happened to be Donny's day.
We had some luck at the right time.
Workington bombed their chances at times.

| I think the Dons worked to a game plan that was based on good strong defence against a big strong team, without our main playmaker . Credit to Tony Miller and his staff.Set up to be hard to break down and executed perfectly ,as workingtons score suggests . Best team won.
