Very difficult getting anything in Cumbria , and the scoreline suggests so nearly. Whitehaven are where they are for reason. I await a balanced report on the game.

Another 5 minutes you would have won. We where in control until last 15 minutes stupid penalty on the last tackle then bang donny ran in 3 tries before we touched the ball again. We where knackered then only had 16 players today and a couple of them carrying injuries thats twice in 2 weeks we've hung on for the win. Good luck for rest of season.

It doesn't really matter ... we lost.

But we can now start to say how should we meet again the Dons can be very confident of victory.

All that matters is who wins, the rest is bullshoite.

Looks like Whitehaven had us beat easy, bar the late spurt.

It may matter to the Coach, something to take into the play offs. OK we lost and no argument with that fact but given the post from the Whitehaven fan, why is that BS. Two teams going at it hammer and tong can hardly be described as BS.

It's a pretty clear post Alan.
I am not commenting on the game, merely the result.
I am saying that much as people might like to say we could have won ... We lost.
And much as people might want to wring every last solace out of it and find the 'positives' out of it.
None of that matters since we lost and Whitehaven can have a beer or two knowing that apart from a brief period too late in the day ... they sorted us and there is no reason to believe they won't repeat it when push comes to shove.

That was pretty much near to our strongest squad and we lost and there are no points for getting close like there used to be.

Still, that's the hard bit out of the way now.

Still only the 4/5th best side in the division and little cause for promotion talk.

Saying that if we had had another 5 mins etc etc and we would have won is futile (bullshoite if you like) since we hadn't and we didn't.

Please do not think that my post was a go. I do not understand the BS aspect thats all, you are not the only one thinking what may have been. That's the Dons season in a nutshell, the what if's.

There has to be hope that we can finish this Season on a high.

We had a Whitehaven fan saying we COULD have won .. I know we COULD have won, in fact I expected us to win. Given that Whitehaven had injuries, we had a strong squad AND a new coach.
Players always try for a new coach, and this a coach who had identified some of our failings and had a plan to speed up our play around the ruck. Had a plan to slow down their play.
And we still chuffing lost.
I would say that is a crushing let down and disappointment, since the game was there to be won.
We lost, the coach can think what he likes but his side weren't good enough, so please no bullshoite talk.

As a very keen horse racing fanatic I will say that sometimes you do not always get what you expect. I expected nothing at Whitehaven (even given their injury problems). The penalty count was poor and I expect the Coach to act on that.

What I do expect is for us to have a say in the play offs.

I expect us to go far in the playoffs ....

The report in the RL Express was not very complimentary.
Whitehaven owned us and when we did fight back we spent the last 10 mins giving pens away and dropping the ball.

How's that better than Greene's reign?

Having said that the final games should be easy ... anď so I would want to see the Dons thrashing sides from now on.
