| Quote Stand-Offish="Stand-Offish"Wasn't there, but it went pretty much as I imagined.
One poster on the Cleggbook said it was brilliant with stubborn defence.
We looked very right sided again going on the video.
The left edge attack and defence is a bit wanting.
I thought that Rangi looked great against Sheffield. He was sharp, fit and his kicking was good.
Looking at the video, we seemed to pass the ball along the line well to the right.
Dunno about defence ...
Perhaps players like Smeaton, Rickett and Carter will come good when they know their fit in the side, but how hard can it be? They are experienced RL players aren't they?
Keighley, went last year to the usual disappointment, so wouldn't surprise me if we get bogged down again.
Not going ...not going there ever again after that Bank Holiday traffic nightmare of last year.
COYD'"
Saw that on Cleggbook must be deluded if they thought that was brilliant.
Its not always winning that matters, the performances do, and thats something we haven't had yet
a decent performance and that is very worrying.
one of there tries was caused by someone rushing out the line for a big hit and missing leaving us wide open, no names!
YES we won yesterday but at times was completely shocking and good teams don't act in that fashion.

honest and accurate.

| I would be happier if he sorted his side out better.
He must be under pressure to do just that.
He is not having a lot of luck of late ...out of a trio of halfbacks that folk said were the best in the league, one has had to go back home for an indefinite time, one seems out of sorts and one is just getting his fitness back.
The elements of a good side are there however, but he ain't lucky.

| I thought RH was very honest about our performance .
When we moved the ball we looked dangerous, however at times silly errors crept into our game and we tried to force passes that just are not there.
Against sides like West Wales you can get away with it ,however against your serious rivals you cannot expect to turn the ball over as many times as we did and get a result.
We need to play to our strengths , we are not a big physical side and RH has assembled a side that is mobile ,with a style of play conducive to hard ground and expansive rugby.
We controlled the game against Barrow very well but let them get out of jail with sloppy errors and numerous penalties , the same errors that almost cost us an embarrassing defeat at Thornhill.
Keighley is always a tough place to go , the surface is never great and more rain will not help us , we need to cut out the errors and play smart ,as too lose two of our first three games would be a disaster.

| i did,nt go on Sunday for the following reasons,, as a pensioner (over 60) the non concession for over 60s is an increase of 40% ish. not very customer friendly is it. Im not willing to sit and watch us put 50 points past what is nothing more than an amateur team (no disrespect intended) and by the sounds of it that was,nt that good to watch..untill we beat a good team Im staying away I dont care whos at fault but someone needs to address all the issues because were not improving as a team at all, (Imo) and the main issue for me is THE DONS PLAY IN BLUE AND GOLD nobody asked if they could break 50 odd years of tradition ...did they ??

| I totally agree with your comments Hawthorne your reasons for not going are the same as mine.
After supporting the DONS since 1961 I don't feel that they are my club anymore'
SAD but TRUE.

Sad to read this Richard after all that you have contributed to the club in the way of time, effort and money. I always valued our conversation at games and will miss that. I wish you all the very best.

| It's always sad to hear of life-long fans no longer 'feeling it'.
I hope the club can win you both back (Harworthdon and Huby) at some point in the future.

| It's a function of not listening to fans' preferences and requirements.
Changing things without agreement or canvassing for views is asking for discontent.
And that is exactly what they have got.
Fans wander off for a variety of reasons, but losing people who love watching rugby for fixable reasons a bit daft.
No club should change its core colours, the Dons are blue and gold, that should be non-negotiable.
People who have tinkered about with names and colours have had little success.
There is little of a feeling of belonging to something with the current set up.
Not so many years ago at Belle Vue players and coach were visible and accessible in the Rovers return and also at the Earl of Doncaster.
That is not the case as much at the Keepmoat, certainly not in my case.
How many people stop behind and go up to the restaurant?
I would like to know.
At silly money prices?

| its very sad to see that quite a few people agree with me,,, there is so many things not right with this club,,S/Oish is right there is no feeling of being part of this club,,I can remember many occasions at tattersfield standing next to the dugout talking to the players and coach having a laugh with them and being part of the days sport, (win or lose). Now unless you have a pair of binoculars you cant see the coach the players are to far away to interact with times have changed I get that,,,BUT not for the better,,especially for the paying fans.

| Our coach might as well be a pen pal in Timbuktu directing the side remotely ...
He has less charisma than I have and I have none...
