I would humbly suggest the club do just that on Sunday week even if this is real.
That way everybody, but a few, are happy and they would get a tremendous round of applause and laughter and would have had tremendous shirt publicity.
If it turns out to be a ruse, it really would be a masterstroke.

Not the first time Richard I've been shamed, I'll cope. The Dons are a RL team that I support, I'm not wedded to them, they are not family and I do not pee blue and gold.

Promotion for the Dons is what matters to me regarding the team. It means increased revenue, increased attendance in a good stadium and a better place for the club financially. If folk want to get out of bed regarding the teams colours, crack on.

Personally I really like both shirts , the maroon home kit is a winner for me.
