| If the squad announced is correct then looks like holt and kittrick at half backs both promising young players but against a very strong leigh side I fear the worse, saying that if Wilko isn't fit I wouldn't want to risk him and miss next week when we have a more realistic chance, some of the other absentees are strange unless injures, Lee as been our most consistent player, and Liam Welham impressed in pre season, one of very few.

| Wilko was targeting this match, but I think its come a week too early for him, however, Tom Holt is more than capable in the half backs, and its been a while since a Donny lad played half back for the Dons (no prizes for a correct guess)..

Your team's coach driver played that day too.

| I eventually found the Leigh preview at the Dons website. I regularly check out the news section but hadn't realised there was a preview link at the top of the page. Surely the team selection (or preview) deserves a mention in the news section too?
With regards to the team, it's good to see Jack Walton get a game. He deserves his chance after some good efforts in the pre-season games.
The team, as shown on the website, is shown below:
Clark Full Back Worthington
Cowling Winger Armstrong
Doherty Centre Kay
Dunn Centre Ridyard
Emmett Winger Brierley
Holt Stand Off Beswick
Kelly Scrum Half Wilkes
Kesik Prop Barlow
Kittrick Hooker Penkywicz
Robinson Prop Pownall
Scott Second Row Platt
Snitch Second Row Reynolds
Sanderson Loose Forward Spencer
Spiers Interchange Haggerty
Waller Interchange Hopkins
Howarth Interchange Acton
Walton Interchange Dixon

There's only one Leigh player listed in the correct position in that team. (Penkywicz) Where did you get it from?

The same applies to the Doncaster positions too, Alan.
Here's the link to the Dons' website where the details are shownhttps://www.doncasterrugbyleague.co.uk/match_day/match_preview/10979rl

| Its says Ref J. Bloem.
Nothing to come there then.
He doesn't give us anything, in case it looks like favoritism.

| No DR or Waterman or Cooke himself.
Don't see the reasoning behind putting out a so called weaker team against the best side in the league.

| With regard to Paul Cooke, he has been known to rest himself for such fixtures. He didn't play against Leigh in our victory at the Keepmoat last season or the Challenge Cup tie at Warrington.

| I can understand putting out a weak team against leigh as highly unlikely we would win with our best team, especially now no bonus point, however a 50-60 point defeat won't improve our fan base and will in fact put people off so could backfire, also our points difference could be another factor we regret at the end of the season, so as a fan I prefer to put out the best team possible each week, will still attend the game because I have experienced many a heavy defeat in years gone by, I had hoped those days were behind us, at least the following game be a better spectacle as a contest.
