| Beharrell was a revelation for us last year and definitely one of he first names I look for every time. I'd pick him ahead of Harris every day.

| We're still 26 days away from our first league game. Hopefully, many of the injuries will have cleared up by then.
I think we have five key players of our own: Beharrell, Tali, Douglas, Kesik, and England. Add five Hull players from the likes of Harris, Miloudi, Litten, Lane, Logan, Cameron Scott and Bienek, (all of whom we had at some point last season) and then fill up the other seven spots with players from the rest of our squad, and we've got a half decent side.
I share the worries of others in that we need to be out of the starting blocks quickly considering our tough start. It would have been nice to see our intended starting line up against Newcastle (including Hull players) have a run out against London. With injuries and Hull playing St Helen's it wasn't to be.
Yesterday was nothing more than an exercise in improving fitness levels.

Do you honestly believe we’re going to be getting those Hull players you have listed there.. this is from the Hull daily mail
The Black and Whites were without eight of their first team due to injuries. Fetuli Talanoa, Chris Green, Josh Bowden and Joe Westerman will definitely not start the season, while Radford threw Albert Kelly and Lewis Bienek’s chances of making the round one clash at Hull KR into doubt with his post-match comments.
I predict will be getting young kids like we had yesterday. Add to that brad England and Mariano are both out for the next 2/3 months, were in terrible shape for the start of the season. Then you have players like Tali and Hedges who have hardly featured pre season so there hardly going to be ready to go come round one.

| We will be lucky to cobble a strong side to play Newcastle.
A right set of misfits it will be.
I forecast we would lose at Newcastle BEFORE any of this injury and D/R nonsense kicked in ...
Hull are mirroring our progress too ... haven't won a game.

| But its an improved deal with Hull FC......
I have to be wary of what I post now as I don't want to be accused (falsely) again of and I quote.
Quote: cheaper "So your now having a pop at loyal club sponsors who put 5 figures into club every year.'"
We don't have enough players, we are banking on being propped up by Hull FC as it's "cheaper" than signing players of our own, Club Doncaster doesn't want to invest in the Don's to any degree it seems.
There is the question of cup tied Hull FC players I suspect they will be less forthcoming with players during cup games, and what happens should we draw Hull FC in the cup? Do you think they are going to send us 5 quality players then? more to the point who's bench will our coach be on???
In the unlikely event (IMHO) that we get promoted this year what are we going to do for players next year, I doubt Hull will be as keen to lend players of Championship level to us and we'll not have many who we have developed and grown via our promotion push. DR is not providing a stable base for growth and development it's a short term fix that has been shown to be flawed over the past few seasons.
We shouldn't be hopefull that Hull will send us 5 players every week, they should be named, signed up and part of the Dons setup for the entire season.

I don't know which Hull players we're going to get but we ought to be getting some players of decent quality or else the 'new arrangement' we have with them will be pointless. I suspect Liam Harris will have limited opportunities in the first team as Jake Connor is likely to be the replacement for Albert Kelly. I'd have him down as a good bet to come. Jack Logan won't be a 'first reserve', I wouldn't have thought. Failing that Cameron Scott could be an option.
Lee Radford hasn't been Miloudi's biggest fan in the past. It remains to be seen where he stands in the 2019 Hull pecking order. There are 16 players at Hull who are outside their first choice 1 to 17. Have a look at them, some of these guys should be on our radar....

I've not heard about Mariano being a long-term injury. Do we know what's wrong with him? I thought Jordie Hedges had been out through suspension (carried over from the end of last season?).

| Hedges suspension has now been served, he was missing yesterday after geting a knock to the head the previous week and being advised by the medical staff to sit it out.
I have heard Mariano is out for a while but not seen anythong official

You've made an assumption that it's cheaper to do the new DR arrangement. Do you know this for sure?
If missing out in the cup is a consequence of having a better chance of promotion, then I can live with that. If we drew Hull in the cup, it wouldn't matter which bench Richard Horne was on, we'd be out.
I suspect that Hull would quite like us to be competing in the Championship as it would be a better place for their players to play.
If the new deal with Hull is worth the paper it's written on they should be sending us five players every week. Whether they're signed up for the full season doesn't actually concern me. If we get five kids every week, I'll not be best pleased either.
In theory the new arrangement with Hull is a good one. How it works in practice, only time will tell.

| There is no chance we will be getting the likes of Miloudi, Litten, Langtree and Bienek on a regular basis. Hull already have around 6/7 injuries and the seasons not even started.. it will be the likes of Sanderson and a few of the other kids who played Sunday. Horne said he wanted a squad of around 22 of our own players, so I’m still hoping we might add a couple of quality additions. That’s if we have any budget left.

| In my eyes, if this season is another one of failure then it will be last time I purchase a season ticket and I dont see me being the only one.
I didn't attend the London game as I couldn't bring myself to pay £12 to watch my team concede yet another cricket score on the Keepmoat.
I get playing Hull and I can see Leeds for Kyles testimonial but London?...………………………….After two hammerings why not someone like the Seagulls or Rochdale , someone who we could possibly compete against.
The only thing we achieved was to highlight how far off the pace we are, and how without Hull we are a mid table side at best.
If...... as I expect we fail to rise to expectations ,then Carl Hall must go , his record as CEO has been one of failure and excuses.
He should rename his five year plan the F plan as every year we get F### all of what we have been promised.
If Club Doncaster really do have a plan to get Super League rugby at the Keepmoat then they need to move in a new direction and a change in the CEO has to be the first move if we fail to deliver.
Every year we have Carl telling us "promotion is the target" "We have the richest owners in the league" "Five year plan" "The players we get from Hull are better than we could sign" "Biggest budget ever " well all these statments have worn very very thin over the his tenure at the club.
This is a make or break season , either we are succesful or proffessional rugby league in Doncaster could become a thing of the past.

| In the RL Express ...
RH says the following ...
"..and we have the dual-registration agreement with Hull again. That's always going to be useful, and it gives us the opportunity to access players we'd never be able to normally, but we WON'T be as dependent on it as we were last year "
Eh???
What has Carl been wasting his time on then trying to secure 5 decent Hull lads per game?
You would use them wouldn't you?
Particularly since you paid for their services!
Especially since we are not up to strength or speed.
I give in ..

Mixed messages from the club again.. our squad is paper thin and weaker than last year, so we give most of our budget to Hull for 5 quality players each week which were now not going to be utilising as much as we did as last year... you really couldn’t make this up... if we don’t start this season well then questions seriously need asking about Halls ability to do his job.
