What an incredible season-long performance by the boys. Few would have predicted it at the beginning of the year. All credit to Tony Miller who has done an amazing job in putting together such a team and to Carl Hall and friends without whom we wouldn't have had a team to support and celebrate. As one of the few left (probably) who saw that first competitive match all those years ago at the old greyhound stadium such a season has been a long time coming. Let's now hope we can be competitive next season.

Considering the pressure the lads were under yesterday(and there was pressure on them) they played superbly. Never stopped from the first minute. 1 to 17 put a shift in as they knew the prize at the end.

Wouldnt it have been even better though had Kez and Waterman gone over with their length of the field efforts!!

Great scenes at the end as well with the celebrations with everyone.Hope someone has some good photos of a great day!!

Without wishing to rain on your parade, are Donny officially the CC1 champions ? The only reason I ask is that in February the RFL issued a statement regarding CC1 for 2012 which said.... RFL Chief Executive Nigel Wood has congratulated Doncaster on their success in winning the 2012 Co-operative Championship One title.

[sizeDoncaster were confirmed as champions[/size following their 48-8 victory over London Skolars this afternoon, an achievement which secures their place in the Championship for 2013.

“On behalf of everyone at the RFL I would like to congratulate Doncaster on their fine achievement, which is reward for a lot of hard work by everyone at the club,” said Wood.

“Doncaster should be justifiably proud of winning a first league title in their 61-year history and I am sure they will celebrate their success long and hard before turning their attentions to preparing for life as a Championship club.”

PS all those clubs praising our efforts is very much appreciated and shows the huge difference between RL and Footy..
