| Quote: Double Movement "Douglas and Mariano were on the touchline at Fev recently. Keiran Cross was also there with crutches.
Carl mentioned something about injuries at Thursday's meeting but I didn't catch all the details as two conversations were taking place at once at that moment and I was involved in the other one. I presume they'll be in the minutes when released. My 'right ear' heard Carl saying that quite a few players were almost ready to come back. I think Frankie Mariano was one of them.'"
Four were mentioned on Thursday as potentially available in the coming weeks. They were Brandon Douglas, Brad England, Frankie Mariano and Brendan Wilkinson. No particular timescales were forecast though.

That's a proper foursome if they get back in contention for a place.

Well spotted, Gary. I'm glad you could fill in the blanks.
I'm often reminded that as a man I am not able to multitask - listening to two voices at once is beyond me!

| Add them four and Keiron Cross to the pack and you can see the quality we've been missing

| Have just been watching the Rangi Chase highlights footage.
I’d forgotten how good he was.
If we get anything vaguely like these kind of performances, I’ll be more than happy, just hope there’s not too much pressure or expectation on the guy.
I’ve not looked forward to a match like this for quite some time, shame it’s not at the Keepmoat though.

| After the 1st 25 mins or so thought we were poor today. We couldn't match the Haven middles .
The ref didn't help with his lack of control of the ruck area. We didn't lack effort just application . Thought Rangi did ok , early on Hedges was outstanding .

| When I saw the starting 17 I thought we may not have enough grunt in the forwards especially against this top heavy Whitehaven unit.
No disrespect to the lads who started but that back three looked light. Can't do that next week either IMO because they will target that area.

| Jordie will run his blood to water. Really need Mariano, Foster and England back for the run in. Douglas wouldn't go amiss either.

| No answer to Haven’s well-organised defence.
Thought the forwards lacked a bit of spark today, consequently not much of a platform for the backs.
Ref didn’t help much around the ruck area, hence the flare up at the end.
A case of ‘what might have been’ had either of our two disallowed ‘tries’ stood. Two of their tries came from two dubious scrums awarded against us.
Kick offs were a worry - gave away possession and territory cheaply.
With games running out quickly, we can’t afford many/any more defeats if we’re going to get out of this division.

| Whitehaven had a plan today and stuck to it. Finishing top is now virtually out of reach as Whitehaven are seven points ahead with five games to play. Whitehaven only need two more wins to guarantee finishing ahead of us. They've got games against Coventry and W Wales still to come.
The big Whitehaven forwards wore us down. We couldn't cope with their 'beef' upfront.

| I'm certainly not a coach, not even a mini cab,but when you're playing the big lads from up north it's suicide to have an unused sub on the bench .did Foster pull up lame just before the game ??

| From the brief highlights of the game, two of Whitehavens tries, the one's near the sticks were out of the Haxey Hood playbook, we didn't have the weight to stop them. League 1 stuff at its best Expect more of the same next Sunday on that narrow pitch at Queensway.
