I didn't hear the full interview but I heard Carl say that Gary Thornton had been very loyal & had kept faith with his players & they had let him down with some of there performances.

One remark I would like to comment on is about the players being good enough we have had big problems at 6/7 Hedges & Howden have not been good enough. Carr's tackling at full back has been ineffective . We have not had a 13 all season . GT said he wouldn't play injured players but I think Carr & Howden have been, well we know Howden has been & still is , as it has been well documented .

I don't know what the relationship has been between the players & coach but something had to be done .

That's always going to be the case I suppose when the 'five-year plan' or whatever has been promised to the investors isn't working...

Just listened to ITD again I don't think they will employ a new coach this season it sounds like a make do and mend plan to see how Peter Green,Rhys Lovegrove & Peter Bell coaching arrangements work out.

One thing for sure we need to strengthen the squad now .
Good luck to Peter he must think he can turn things round at least he knows what has been going on between the head coach & some of the players . He has admitted there has been too many changes , however we are running short of numbers .
Howden, Nicholson ,Kelly, feka , Cross , Muranka all injured . Thackray suspended .

We have got to come across in a more structured and positive way.

But I would probably have done the same and given Peter Green a go mainly on practical grounds.

But I would give him a realistic target so he knows where he is at.

The next 5 games probably and also be scouting heavily for a head coach for the playoffs and next season.

Green might do it ... good luck to him.
