| Quote: another 5yr plan "Excellent effort , I'm normally the first one to be critical but we showed some real guts in that 2nd half , the discipline was good, we didn't make many handling errors and we tried to keep the ball alive at every opportunity so well done dons and lets see that on a regular basis! p.s it was great seeing leeds trying to deal with those short kick offs haha. COYD'"
Good to read, lets hope that the season can kick on from this.

| Well done to the lads for the spirited performance especially in the second half.
The Dons fans were great.
The Leeds fans appreciated what we did too.
I've loved supporting the Dons for over 40 years. We might not have won the match on Friday but it days like this that make me realise why it's all worthwhile.
Let's hope this gives us some momentum for the rest of the league season.

| fantastic 2nd half. great to watch.
we brought every ball out from our line at 100mph, unbelievable charlie martin, never seen so many short ko won in a season never mind one match.
he did that a couple of times v toronto though, speed in passing and moving the ball at every chance.
More of that please.
I never saw that performance coming though well done to each and every player.
Never had a bet but they made a mockery of the 58pts start.
Great not to whinging for once, very glad i went now

| Well ... what a game to bow out to (as a watcher).
Gonna stick to what I said ... because nothing fundamental has changed our defence is still DREADFUL.
I am sure we were jumping out of the way at the tackle for most of the first half.
It's a good job it changed in the second half
We did tackle properly then.
What did change was the team threw the ball about and kept it alive.
There was little to be seen of Thornton's preferred method of isolated forwards hoping to take it in and offload.
We threw it along the line like a League 1 version of Castleford.
Donny the entertainers (who needed the Saints).
For whatever reason the Dons exploded into a brand of attacking rugby never seen for many a year.
That without a doubt ranks as one of the greatest forty minutes
Of Dons rugby ever!
It shocked Leeds a bit even though they were never in any danger.
The little guy got back up and started punching back.
It was a carnival atmosphere that I think everyone in the ground got involved with.
Just a great night out ( in the end) at a great venue.
Memorable, truly memorable.
Charlie Martin (and all of them) take a bow.
They lapped it up the lads and came across to the West Terrace were they had just scored 5 good tries in that second half and soaked up some memories for themselves of the Donny hysteria that they had created.
Well done .... brilliant.
Be very proud!

Yes, it was a classic. He was looking left and looking right for some support but then realised he was on his own, so decided he had to get to the line as soon as he possibly could.
It was great to see him wave to the crowd as everyone chanted his name when the players were stood back on the halfway line.

Still confused how suddenly we can turn it on like we did in the 2nd half, why not earlier in the season . Defensive frailties also need addressing at full back. I am more & more convinced TC has a shoulder problem he seems he can not commit to the tackle .Still some issues that need addressing for me including the players/coach relationship. Sorry to sound a little negative after the 2nd half response .
Lets hope these can be addressed during the 2 weeks before the next game . The London is very important , lets hope it kick starts the season .

| I treated the Leeds game as a one-off before I went and I think our performance was a one-off.
We raised our game. Something we haven't managed much in the league.
We showed we can attack and so there will be little excuse barring injuries in league games to come as far as attack is concerned.
We also showed we can't defend individually and as a unit.
For Leeds' first try, the guy ran through and almost over Tom Carr.
For other tries under the sticks we had a big unit like Connor Scott being brushed aside like a fly. Then he looks around him at others.
Leeds did score a few good tries, but too many were what I class as pie-muncher tries.
Somebody just barging over and skittling cardboard cut-outs.
That is WHY we are losing games.
Thornton has not and I would suggest can't fix that.
He thinks it's good if we restrict such as Gloucester to three tries.
While conceding fourteen to Toronto.
We can't defend in the bloody-minded way that top sides do and that demoralises opposition.
The opposition knows that Donny are brittle and that they don't have to expend too much precious energy getting twenty odd points as a base level.
Until that is sorted we will struggle to beat such as Barrow and therefore can't get promoted.
We almost have to play like Brazil used to knowing we can outscore the opposition when they score.
On a cold wet day in Cumbria when every tackle hurts that is not always possible.
