| dissapointing that we could of won. cooke and hyde had a bad day at the office and although i think emmett is a good player i think he would be better at loose and bring powley in to share the hooking role with kesik. we can play so much better though!

| I did write a detailed report, but hit the wrong button and lost it and can't be @rsed to retype it.
Suffice it to say it was like a relatively strong, but ordinary, C1 side at home to a load of amateurs.
On the plus side we defended well.
Otherwise it could have got embarrassing.
Let's move on.
PS
We still need a number seven.
Flair-less!

we played much better when castle and deano where on the field in my opinion we need two big props as good as those two, i have not been impressed with hyde either prefere fawcett he has alot more pace and reads the game better, yesterday we took the wrong options too many times kicking early in the tackle count hyde guilty on three occaisons and missing our chances of witch we had many, emmit , waterman castle and deano worked their socks off along with kesik,we got carried away with last weeks performance, though i still think we are one of the better teams in this league

| It was close for the 1st 20 mins or so both defences worked well. Both teams made too many handling errors on a perfect day for RL. Mr Lehey made some very strange decisions for both sides ... Barrow were the better side for most of the game tho hence the score...we snuffed out Paul Cooke and that is the key to beating you. You need a plan B.
I think you will be in the mix come seasons end though.

I couldn't make it to Barrow but I agree with Olddon that Mark Castle and Dean O'Laughlin are very good. We don't seem to have the same forward push when they're off the field.
From the video highlights of the game we seemed to miss a few tackles and didn't drive up to meet the opposition. We waited for them to come to us.
The lads are still learning so let's hope we can press on from here. Barrow away will probably be the toughest test of the season. We need to make sure we don't slip up against the lesser lights, as well as getting bonus points in the matches we don't win.
Looking forward to the game at the weekend already!

| 7 hours of travelling for a game that was for a lot of the time dissapointing. We made far too many errors and wrong decisions.
But has stated they are maybe one of the strongest teams in our division, even though they beat us on the day Barrow were beatable apart from the reasons stated above.
We need a Darren Holt.

| Had to laugh at a post on Totalrl (barrow) by a Haven fan suggesting Dons wouldnt travel well. Thats from a team who we have stuffed on the last 3 occasions at the Keepmpoat.
Still think we can compete in this league , early days yet.

| This is going to be a league where the top sides lose their away games to other top sides.
So if we beat Barrow down at the Keepmoat we will be back to parity and the same with other losses away.
Based on that performance we would lose at Workington, Whitehaven, Oldham and Rochdale.
We need to win everything at the Keepmoat, which we are capable of, and beat lesser sides away.
We desperately need a NIPPY (ie FAST) number seven.
Our current one is too slow, couple that with Cooke as the other half back and we are a bit pedestrian.
Still I don't suppose we will get anybody else now.
I have however learnt my lesson about going to Barrow.
I can't believe we could go from great to grotty in 7 days, I truly wished I was somewhere else but watching that game yesterday.
You could pretty well see we had nothing to offer from the off.

Not sure they can afford to lose too many, need to be picking up points from promotion rivals so it isnt too tight near end of season. Do you think the travelling had an effect?, hope not because theres a lot more to come.

Not sure they can afford to drop too many points against promotion rivals, leaves little room for error, and could leave it tight at end of season. Do you think the travelling had an effect, hope not because theres a lot more to come.

| Sounds very much like a disappointing effort and a real big up to the Faithful that travelled. The three Cumbrian away fixtures were and are always going to test the metal and it sounds like Barrow really did want it more. If this bunch of players do want to do well then the answer should come on Saturday, if they turn up half d against Sharlston and do not give it a hundred percent then the good feeling from the Whitehaven game will sadly dissipate. I thought after last week we may just have a half decent shout this year, hope to hell I'm correct.
