| Ex-Dons man has just signed an extended contract at York until the end of 2018. I thought he was older than 30.

GT seems to have some sort of squad rotation in mind. He must know something we don't. I would certainly have Cas in my team for Friday.

| Only a fool would rotate his best team with other squad members while still playing the better sides ... and I have to include York amongst those.
Rotation is for use against lesser sides and we are in the fortunate position of having half a division of those.
In other words if all the teams in our division were good, I would play all my best players all the time less injuries/loss of form etc.
If we had two games a few days apart as sometimes happens I would consider rotation.
For games as far apart as 5/6/7 days and more, rotation wouldn't exist.
Chopping and changing is really, really bad.
It can be forced by circumstances I know ...
But it makes Thornton look like a ditherer.
Anyone who sits on his hands and watches his side being slaughtered is a dithering numpty anyway.
What did he actually do in a material way to alter the course of that game apart from substitutions?
Did he swap players around from left to right for instance to strengthen a weak side.
I saw no remedial work in the 30 mins of suffering that I endured.
'I was particularly disappointed with our defence.' Gary says in the Free Press.
Well you organised it and it never was much cop against half decent sides.
What a poorly organised side and poorly used side we have ...

| I'm not GTs biggest fan but to be fair I don't think any coach would have been able to do much to save us last week against Toronto. There comes a point that if a team is outclassed by a wide margin, you get shredded. We got shredded.
Training can't have been a happy place this week. Morale must have been at a low ebb. I'll be more interested to see if GT can lift the players for the York game.
I'd love to know what messages are actually sent out onto the pitch during a game.
I agree with S/O that the time to rotate players is when we're up against the lesser lights in this league. The York game isn't a time for tinkering. We need our best 17 out there to make sure we have the best possible chance of winning.

| I was really sorry we lost Robinson. He never took a backwards step and always tackled his heart out. I hope he does'nt make us pay on Friday.
