Got to admit carl has done a great job in making us an established championship 1 team!

I would make the team better and run the club better, that was an easy question.

Listen mate I'm just a mere mortal of a fan and pay my money at the gate and have my grumble on here, I've said many times I don't dislike the bloke but sadly I don't think he's the guy to take us forward. The albert brothers debacle, the way all of us knew we were too lightweight but his stubbornness denied it, the way his targets he's made have year on year been missed, how many more people would still be in a job after all that? Nobody can dispute what he's done for the club but the bottom line is he's being paid good money to produce the goods and it's simply not happening, a fresh approach and fresh ideas might be the making of this club and as were likely to be in the championship 1 again next season for the 5th time running would it hurt trying that out?

| I can’t see what more he can do my self , and bringing someone else in would make us weaker as a club . Who would no the club and have the experience and contacts Carl has in the game to put us in a better position than we are in now , the signing of the Albert brothers was bad luck really nothing he did wrong apart from maybe telling someone that’s posted it on here when he thought the deal was in the bag only to miss out at the last minute because Widnes s original target had died . If Carl was to leave we would be a lot worse off I think , with the fan base with have we are always going to struggle , in the past I think we over achieved on the back of 2 people tony miller and Päul cooke , 2 people that Carl Brought to the club . There isn’t that sort of talent knocking the door down to come to Doncaster every year to play in league one for very little money in front of 750 people, what would someone new do , not as good in my opinion

I cant believe you think that CH is the only man that could run DRLFC , the club is a business and like any business is lead by the board of directors and the CEO.
The club is not a charity for retired players who have very little knowledge of the corporate or media world..............as the dug out shows.
Carl has seen the club stagnated under his tenure and if the board is to realise playing in the Championship let alone Super League then crowds need to increase and new ideas need to be brought to the table.
If Carl cant deliver this after running the club with some of "the richest owners in Rugby League" ( his word not mine) then heaven help us when the well runs dry.
You also mention Carl's contacts ,but who are they and what have they brought to Doncaster RL ,the dual reg with Hull is a farce just to save the club money and give Hull's fringe players the occasional fitness session.
I say give the guy to the end of next season with an ultimatum , hit your target or hit the road

| We ve just signed the prop form Fev after also being chased by championship club s , the duel reg with Hull is perfect with Richard Horne as coach has he no s the players there ability and who he can have , and when they do play have to give 100% because it reflects on there position at Hull , I think if Carl was sacked then all of the sponsors that he has brought into the club would leave . Doncaster people don’t seem to want to get behind anything sporting wise in Doncaster we couldn’t get 3000 gates every week if we gave free tickets out for every game

Here are some of the reasons why I support the club and the club management team
1) The club’s finances are in better shape now than at any time in our history.
2) The club will be here for years to come allowing the children of today to enjoy rugby league throughout their lifetimes.
3) We have a stadium that most clubs are envious of, including some Super League teams.
4) Season ticket sales are up and income received from Dons’ fans is higher than this time last year.
5) We’re trying to improve the game day experience for everyone especially the kids. Getting the kids connected to the club at an early age will help the fan base of the future. The kids have had some great days out this season due to these initiatives.
6) We’re building better links with schools and local amateur rugby.
7) Corporate hospitality sales and sponsorship are doing extremely well. Credit has to be given to all of those who work behind the scenes to make these things happen.
8.) Communications with fans through emails, etc, is getting better. It’s important to keep fans informed.
9) Through the Club Doncaster concept we’re able to try to tap into the Rovers fan base to improve interest in the Dons. Other clubs don’t have this opportunity.
10) Sensible fans can approach the club and Carl Hall. They will listen.
11) We have a fans’ panel who meet with Gavin Baldwin, Carl Hall, and Shaun Lockwood (plus others) on a regular basis. Many ideas and suggestions have been put forward by the fans and implemented by the club.
12) We have stalwarts at the club like Ray Green, Peter Green, and Barry Brown who work tirelessly in the background with Club Doncaster to help move the club forwards.
13) With major change possible from the RFL, as there could only be 20 professional rugby teams in the future, Carl Hall will fight our corner. With his influence, I am sure he will be able to help to get this silly initiative kicked into touch and protect the future of rugby league in Doncaster, like he has done in the past.
14) Richard Horne is a young ambitious coach. He’s played the game at the highest level and wants to play attractive rugby that will excite the fans. Watching matches this season is much better than the “down the middle” rugby played under Gary Thornton. We’re moving in the right direction on the field as well as of it.
15) Due to our DR arrangements with a full-time professional club, we’re able to learn from their best practices on and off the field. This has got to be to our advantage.
All members of the club management team are responsible for the above and deserve credit for what has been achieved.

I salute you my friend for trying to polish a turd! If you think being in championship 1 will attract the new wave of young supporters your delusional, there's only 1 thing the club can do to get more people through the gates and sadly the club are more interested with events off the pitch rather than on it. We had the resources and the 'great people at the club' a few years ago when this 5 year plan was put in place so can you personally tell me how you think that's going?

| I really do give up , the Rovers took the club over as under Carl's ownership the club was yet again on the brink, the club is only in such a good position financially because of that.
The Rovers saw this as the perfect opportunity to take full control of the Keepmoat and call the shots for what would be small change to their owners.
As for the five year plan for Super League , I would be happy just to get to the Championship by the time it materialises .

Should have stopped at 13 although that might have been unlucky ...

| Quote: hally's hot air "If you think being in championship 1 will attract the new wave of young supporters your delusional, '"
I started supporting the club when I was a teenager in the 1970s. We weren't very good then but it didn't stop me from becoming addicted to the game. Being part of the event is far more important to the kids than winning. If a kid is a Dons fan by the age of 8, they'll probably not defect to other clubs when they grow older. That's why you have to get them interested early.
Quote: hally's hot air " We had the resources and the 'great people at the club' a few years ago when this 5 year plan was put in place so can you personally tell me how you think that's going?'"
I thought the five year plan was a good idea. It emphasized that we do have ambitions to get to the top league. The plan was fundamentally undermined by our relegation from the Championship. After finishing fourth in the Championship, the season before our relegation, things seemed to be going quite well under Paul Cooke and the ambitions of the five year plan seemed realistic. Once we got relegated and lost Paul Cooke things looked considerably different.
We then made a mistake employing Gary Thornton. That set us back at least a couple of years. Had he been able to bounce us straight back up again, we might have got back on track.
That's all history and with hindsight I'm sure the club would have done quite a few things differently. The ambition to move the Dons forward still remains but we're not going to zoom out of this league and then zoom through the Championship and get into Super League just like that.
From a solid sustainable base, as we have presently got, as I described earlier, we're in a decent position to move forwards again. My personal targets for the club would be to get out of this league no later than the end of 2019, consolidate in the Championship in the first season after promotion, and then aim to be in the top six the season after.

Thanks S/O. I'm pleased 13 out of 15 were okay. I'm sorry I came up short with the last two!

You're welcome ... 'Keep the Faith' as John Wright used to say ... now there was a good bloke.
