| I await my personal threat from him or his family as the norm or maybe the valued club sponsor will offer me out for a fight again??
Paul - The club did the right thing in ending dual reg, but I cannot praise them for doing what was clearly common sense, the singing of Boas is excellent as is Logan, letting Kes go was a mistake for me and while I think we have some quality backs and decent half backs I think were very light going forward with only really Ross as with some punch, lose him were very flat and we came unstuck last year against big packs and we have not, in my opinion, strengthened accordingly.
We have played in a Red strip under the Desmond years, if was if I recall my first season fulltime at the Dons, but I think that was the away strip the home strip was still very much Blue and Gold, but I might be wrong I'm sure my Dad will pop up shortly and correct me
We really don't have a recognised fullback, I agree Logan will make a decent fist of it but I would prefer him in the centres with Tali, I hold hope out that Sanderson might still join us as out No. 1.
We do however seem to have a glut of 9's .

I have just viewed my videos of Dons home & away games in the 1986 season the shirts were sponsored by PDC the home shirts were Blue & Gold the away shirt was Red both had PDC written on the front of the shirt.

| This news has prompted me to post for the first time in a number of years. Will it force me to rip up my season ticket? No. Not attend games?. No. Change my life? No.
However, I can't even begin to fathom the logic behind this decision and would suggest this is a huge and UNNECESSARY own goal by the club and do nothing but cause further division between the club and a section of its fans at a time when everyone should be pulling together.
I can't believe supporters of any reputable and established sports club in the world would accept this without any consultation or coherent explanation. The official statement linking the change in colours to the removal of dual registration is probably the most inane and crass marketing statement I can remember.
And for the record I am very much a supporter of the Club Doncaster concept and would class myself firmly in the 'happy clappers' camp. I only hope common sense will prevail and the kits will be reversed. And I do hate maroon!

| I fully echo Wiggum's sentiment here. Count me too as a happy clapper if you like. This is an entirely pointless decision. I'm sure that many, like me, were looking forward to the announcement of the new kit. All I can suggest is that we boycott the maroon and buy the blue. I'll be there tomorrow to get my proper Dons top.

| Been thinking (dangerous, I know) but I'm not buying into this maroon shirt mallarkey anymore. I would suggest it's fake news!
I would suggest the club has done it as a marketing ploy to get everyone taking about the Dons before the first friendly.
I reckon that at 2.58 next Sunday, when the teams come onto the pitch, a PA announcement will be made asking everyone to welcome the Dons onto the pitch for the first time this year as they are going to play in their new 2020 home strip.
When they come onto the pitch they will be wearing the blue and gold shirt that has previously been reported as the away strip or, to carry on the story further, they will come out in the maroon shirt and then immediately before kick-off, remove those shirts to reveal the blue and gold underneath!
Roll on next Sunday in order to find out the real truth!

| I admit I have thought that, but also thought if Someone posted it on here or Facebook they won’t do it anymore!

I thought that too Jemmo but hey-ho, it just throws more thoughts into the mix. Surely the club wouldn't stick to doing something silly just because they've been rumbled?

| I would humbly suggest the club do just that on Sunday week even if this is real.
That way everybody, but a few, are happy and they would get a tremendous round of applause and laughter and would have had tremendous shirt publicity.
If it turns out to be a ruse, it really would be a masterstroke.
But are they clever enough???

| Bought my "away" top earlier. 1 question. If the club's colours are changing then why is all the other merchandise blue and gold?

| Exactly. What is the branding and marketing strategy behind maroon? Or is it just someone's favourite colour? Even the Lakers had a vision, albeit misguided. Let's hope it is just all a January fools prank.

| Was thinking exactly the same thing. As much as I disliked the Lakers rebranding there was at least a strategy behind it. I'm calling bullsh*t on this. Come on lads, you've been rumbled.

| Dunno if I am imagining this, but the blue looks a much darker blue than what we might expect.
What's the story Rob?

| Sorry chaps but compared to how the team performs this topic IMO is small potatoes. I could not give a monkeys what they are wearing, it won't put any extra points on the board.
