What's happening, Steve? Are you getting grief elsewhere?
For the second week running, the post came to our aid. I thought Ridyard would have nailed the conversion that hit the woodwork.
Oldham got tired later which may have been a result of them not having played a competitive game this season. Without their yellow card, I suspect we wouldn't have won.
All credit to the lads though for battling but it must be said that we got out of jail again. Our defending in the first half was woeful at times. It is worrying how we can be dissected down the middle about 40 metres out.
I was fearing a possible red card for Ben Johnston at the end. That would have been extremely bad news.
Positives: Jack Sanderson found some scoring form; Alex Holdstock was able to come back on after looking as though he'd got a serious knock; Matt James made an impact down the middle and Connor Robinson's goal-kicks were vital. Misi did well when he came on. He adds a buzz to things even though he's nearly as old as me!
Nevertheless, on balance, the first two competitve games have been disappointing. I'm less hopeful about promotion now than I was before a ball was kicked. We have got scope to get better and should improve over the next few games but we're certainly no certs to go up. If we don't improve, we could well be on the wrong end of a few results.

Thanks DM for the analysis. Obviously room for improvement ( the team not you)

| Just my regular stalker DM and seems they have a new acolyte - resorting to personal insults and slights rather than concentrating on the sport

I'm sorry to hear that. Debate and differences of opinions are what makes the world go round. There's no place for inappropriate behaviour though.

| I don't take it personally but when it's against the rules/spirit of the forum I just report it, thankfully Jemmo seems to be on the ball with repeat offenders.

| We actually went to this game, after I claimed that I wasn't going.
For vast swathes of this game I cursed that I changed my mind.
WE WERE DREADFUL!
In the end we were singing "come on you Dons!"
Funny old game!
We won AGAIN....which only served to brush the rubbish under the carpet.
I expect the shoite to hit the fan at Rochdale.
Having said that, with Tali back, we will probably stuff them.

Post Game thoughts of RH
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2MoGABdsms
I do like the comment of less frivolity and pillocking about (my take on it) pre game. Concentrate on the job in hand cos if you don't you will be on the end of a beating. There is a time for lads stuff preferably post game with a beer in your hand.
