Agreed, until we get some consistency of selection in those key positions we will struggle. That's not to say we won't win some games considering the teams in this division but to be at the right end of the table it's essential.

With regards to S/O wondering why we should be expecting a win on the back of the two heavy defeats, when I look at the team on paper, we don't look a bad side. I'd like to see Nicholson and Tonks in the second row as that is where we've definitely been coming up short.
If Milton is out and we're missing a 13, he may play Joe P. I've still no idea whether he's any good or not but no one is any good if they spend more time off the field than on it.
If we get some go forward, I will be hoping to see Jordie Hedges show us what he can do. I'm looking forward to seeing Jason Tali play.
I wonder who we'll get from Hull?'"
I responded actually to someone saying they expect a big win, not a win.
Of course we should win.
I expect London to be better than Gloucester

| My report card for the Skolars game looks something like this:
Win by 25 points or more without conceding many - maybe there is hope we can improve further to compete with the better sides.
Win by 18 to 24 - I'd be happy and believe we may be heading back in the right direction.
Win by 10 to 17 - Satisfactory but not earth shattering.
Win by less than 10 - Okay but somewhat disappointed.
Lose ... I really don't want to go there!

And very welcome IMO. I take it that Lancaster is the winger who scored a hat trick for Hull in our pre -season friendly with them?

| I'm not a Dual Reg man, BUT would be interesting to know if we could get 19 fit players on the park if we didn't have the Hull players.

| We need a good performance and a win today. Confidence for what ever reason seems to be at a low level.
There have been flashes of what we can do with ball in hand in earlier games and even v York for a short period .
COYD today .

| Well that's my summer freed up.
To all the numpties who predicted a big Dons win ..
I salute you.
Tali ...there aren't enough laughing smilies to describe him.
We are a mid table joke accept it.
Sheriff, Aizue are class ... the rest are ordinary.
Their number 7 made Hedges look wooden.
We are that bad I think Ferguson should run both sides.
Positivity anyone?

| THat was just terrible, we paid our hard earned cash to watch a contest, that was embarrassing. Apart from Aizue, Sherriff, Castle and Welham the others were all very poor. As for Lancaster on the wing, he was a joke.
We can't blame the referee for the manner of that defeat, we were bereft of ideas, lacking in go forward, and players who looked tired or unfit.
As others around me said, We don't mind supporting our team if they give it a go and get beat by a better team, but that wasn't this afternoon.
I'm sure we will hear that the coach is sorry, the players are hurting from the defeat, but it just wasn't good enough. It will be a very embarrassing season if that team is all we have.

| well well well, what can be said,? if there is a man out there anywhere who can convince me that we dont need a new coach and at least half a dozen new players then please give him my phone number. As said above 2 or 3 players played well today and at least were seen to be trying, the rest were shoite. (wont name names because its not right to do so) No amount of excuses or reasoning from Carl or GT will convince me we have the ability to get a top 6 place this year. If we dont make changes NOW then we are doomed. And dont forget I am MR optamistic on here. But not for much longer. I walked out today before the final hooter, the FIRST TIME EVER in 33 yrs of supporting the Dons. So Mr Hall sort it out.

| With the London guys starting to flag and running out of fit substitutes, I was expecting a late comeback to get us out of the mire.
Despite being a diehard Dons fan, I was glad to see the better team win. It would have been an injustice to yet another team that wanted it more than us and another team that showed more enthusiasm than us.
Will it be a wake-up call? Hope I'm wrong but I doubt it.
