| Hi Karlos
Well I am not sure exactly who is available, Noble would be a good shout from an experience point of view but has never coached outside SL so I am not sure how he would fair.
Other likely I would like to see in contention are people like Karl Harrison, Francis Cummings, I think John Kear could do an excellent job for us but he is with Batley atm so that rules it out.
I think we need someone with a proven track record at this level who can work within a tight budget and get the best out of what we have and get some team spirit back in the side...someone in the Tony Fisher mold would be a good shout, but I think coaches like Fish and Peter Roe have had there day now and we need a modern replacement.
Someone like Gary Thornton ex of Batley could also do a job.
I wouldnt be overjoyed if we took on Goulding I think he's a whole box of crazy waiting to explode.

That alone should make it an absolute non-starter.
(Although I can think of other reasons too).

Theres not much out there is there.
I think Noble would be too expensive for us and would want to spend some money.
I wouldn't want Karl Harrison either as his tactics always seem a bit negative and predictable.
Thornton did a great job at Batley, is he still in charge of the young uns at wakey?
I was trying to think of pros coming to the end of their careers who might want a first start in the coaching game.I would be happy with one of these instead of an experienced guy.
I just want someone who will sort out our defence and discipline first and then play some attractive rugby and get the lads to play 100% for the full 80.
Its a tough job for Carl and John this one and they have to make the right choice.
(Hope its not Goulding either as he will bring the water carrier with him and we had loads of run ins with him at Rochdale over the years!!)

So reasonable options there, not sure on Horne as he's unproven and from the same stable we currently are saddled with, others might not be bad ideas tho, so good experience at our level.

Well if Nobles to expensive and we don't want to spend money we may as well of kept cooke, gone down and just play in Div1.
you say someone whos just finishing his career and wants to go into coaching, weve just had cooke who was one of those people
and alot better than some knocking about now.

Why not keep Cooke then? You never heard me calling for his head. I never heard anyone else calling for his head at the end of last season either.
He cant be one of the best upcoming coaches around last year and then the worst this year. As I said a few weeks ago something is wrong at the club (I don't know what and ive not heard anything either) . Be it training , staff , DR or whatever the first the club had to do was find out the problem and nip it in the bud.Once that had been sorted maybe Cookey could have been left in charge. As I said not one person was doing any complaining after the league season last year.
Also regarding Noble , do you think on gates of barely over a 1000 we are in a financial position to be employing him and the playing staff he would want to bring in?
There are some players out there in the twilight of their careers who have played under some of the best coaches in the world who have picked up loads of knowledge and ideas.
Again ill ask the question who would you bring in as coach?
