| Abuse should be stopped immediately.
It doesn't' take an act of parliament.
It just takes a RFL with some awareness and BALLS to say to such as Swinton ... 'Stop this nonsense. This is not what dual registration was designed to do.'
Wankers!!

I blame Warrington and Tony Smith. All he's doing is keeping an extra few first team squad members match fit by abusing the spirit of dual-reg.
I have some sympathy with Swinton, it must be quite easy to accept the offers, hoping they'll result in increased crowds and better results. Lets face it their goal this season must be not to get relegated.

| A couple of simple rules should sort it:
1) Players must be under the age of 23 to be eligible for Dual Registration
2) They must not have played more than 20 Super League games
Job sorted.
How long before the RFL deal with this? It is essential for the integrity of the game!

I fully expect that rules such as the above will be in place next season ... I'd make it 12 SL games personally.

| Interesting development at Keighley where Cas have suspended their Dual Reg agrement until Daryl Powell assesses all his players . Donot think he was a big fan of D R or Fev were not.

| Two things i find wrong with your proposed rules DM, firstly they are simple common sense rules, the RFL don't do common sense. secondly , i honestly believe its the super league sides pulling the strings, not the RFL .I think it's up to clubs in the championships to agree rules to regulate it, but im not convinced all want to. As wanderer says,Swinton Will be glad of Wire players turning out, as Will Hunslet with Leeds players. At the moment, much as we dislike it, they are breaking no rules.

Its similar to a conversation I had before the game on Sunday, where we agreed, if you said, under the age of 23, or a maximum of 25 Super League games per player, and a side was only allowed to have a maximum of 45-50 SL appearances from the Dual Registered players combined..

As far as dual registration is concerned, I think we can say that this is a Bridge too far.

Which one?
The old one or the new one?
Sorry, I thought you said Donny Bridge.............
Sorry I'm bored ... no home rugby equals boredom.
The Puffers Cup to come is hardly a compensation either.

| It was Danny (not Chris) ... SKY Sports had it as Chris.
Danny is also on Warrington's books.
