Shaun also has my support. As previously said he has always been one of my favourite Dons players of the last decade and his loyalty to the Don's through all the turmoil and uncertainty should be repaid.

He has been extremely foolish even though I believe it has been blown out of all proportion and spiced up for the national press. Hopefully he has learned a valuble lesson and we'll see him in a Don's shirt again in the not too distant future.

We all give Shaun our support, that's a given.
He's been a great player and stayer for our club when all around him were like rats deserting the ship.
Let's just see what happens first ...

I'll stand with Shaun.

I just hope his so called 'mate' is enjoying his 30 pieces of silver.
He is absolute SCUM. Where I come from you never stitch up
your colleagues. Never eusa_naughty.gif

Let's hope none of this sticks and that we can give Leafy a
bloody good testimonial next season.

And yes The Sun is crap. The trouble is a lot of people read it.

Say what you mean and mean what you say because those who matter don't mind and those who mind don't matter.:

By Carl Hall With the Dons
Published on Wednesday 18 May 2011 07:22

WHAT a week we all endured last week with all the press stories going around concerning certain allegations about Dons captain Shaun Leaf.

All I will say is we are supporting Shaun until all the evidence has been looked at and the Rugby Football League investigates it. Then I’m sure we will be called before a RFL tribunal.

We are working really close with the RFL. Shaun and myself asked for a meeting with them last Friday so that he could get his side of things over to them. I would like to think the meeting went well. We just have wait and see what the outcome will be.

Last weekend’s 24-20 Championship One defeat against Keighley was hard to take.

I really felt for the fans, the team, the coaching staff and everyone connected to the club as the boys put in a really good effort up against a very good Keighley team who are currently second in the league.

At times we were our own worst enemy and should definitely have won the game.

We need to be a bit smarter at times but losing the game with three minutes to go was very hard to take and I felt the boys deserved better. But we just can’t seem to buy a win at the minute.

I also thought the two new lads, Dom Dee and Richard Tafa, added something to the team and can only get better. They look quality players and I welcome them both to the club.

Keighley’s head coach Jason Demetriou said ‘sorry’ to me after the game and he was very genuine when he said that he felt that we didn’t deserve to lose the game and wished us all the best.

I thanked him for his comments but told him it didn’t make defeat any easier.

On a positive note I would like to congratulate Ray Green and the community team on picking up an award at the Doncaster Sports Awards on Friday at the Keepmoat Stadium,

The award was very well deserved as they are doing a great job.

It was brilliant to see the kids from Stonehill and Pennine View special needs schools playing in a tag-rugby game at half-time on the Keepmoat pitch on Sunday.

The glow on the children’s faces when the supporters clapped them off at the end was a joy to see and I’m sure the game will last long in their memories. Once again well done to all concerned.
