| Pete Green confirmed - anyone else is just speculation at this stage.

| Match day attendances will always be the factor in holding onto players feel so sorry for the loyal fans who turn up week in week out to support their team i have travelled to watch them a few times this season (being a season pass holder at Castleford) and their efforts have deserved more support than what they have been getting so the only people to blame are the armchair supporters for not turning out to support them

| No doubts the Keepmoat is a fantastic venue but that is costing an arm and a leg to the Dons surely? i thought a move was on to another ground a while back what's happened to that?

| I thought i would never hear myself say it....but if the worse should happen, should that be an end of an era...?
I cannot even think what team we will even field on Thursday - and i cannot stand to listen to the likes of Clarke and Ben Pro etc talking about administartion and the like...
Green going to me speaks volumes...Not sure Seagulls need too many more players anyway?
Also who is bankrolling them? - becuase if you look at the scenario of small attendnaces and big stadium....

The deal with the Keepmoat is a significantly reduced one from last season (but may still be more than can be realistically be afforded).
There is currently no potential move to play elsewhere.

| I was told weeks ago that Peter Green was on his way to Sheffield by another player but thought it was just speculation. His dad working there will certainly have influenced the decision I'm sure.
As stated in a previous thread-we've had it!

| As soon as players were offered reduced terms to get a hold of the finances they essentially became free agents, if they can get better deals else where they can go...this is not a case of us particularly getting rid of Pete, Kyle or Paul (etc), but the better players will get the better offers...that's obvious
Pete has been through this situation more than any man should with the Dons, and he is not getting any younger. He owes us nothing but owes his family all he can

| Well every club that comes down here will have carte blanche to cherry pick anyone on the Dons side that plays any good against them....if they want.
That's a rubbish position to be in.
I remember when our side folded two years ago and went into a CVA and all the players of any worth, apart from some really faithful ones, left.
The side we fielded against Rochdale away and got hammered is a memory I don't want to return to....but fear will repeat itself.
I couldn't watch a ritual slaughtering of brave Donny lads for the remainder (still the bulk) of the league season.
It would be like watching somebody getting kicked when they were down......not nice to watch.

| Cannot blame Pete for going he's been through the mill with us and he does have a family to look after these days.
Good Luck to him and thanks for all the years good service.
Picking up on what others have said, how come Sheffield with similar attendances and no major financial backer can manage to attract world cup players and build a winning side on a what one would imagine to be a similar sized playing budget.
I think something has gone terribley wrong with the club yet again.

| I support what has been said about Pete. He owes the Club and the fans nothing and has to look after his family now.
Thanks and Good Luck I say.

I agree, but when a player who's Donny to the bone leaves we are in big trouble.
Good luck Pete, although you won't need it as much as The Dons!

They run a successful Lottery that pays a good commission to amateur clubs who have tied in with them.
