| The dual reg players will hopefully add something, although they don't appear to be any better than what we have, with pas and Danny cowling injured we look weak in centres, youn kittrick needs to step up to help create chances against a strong batley defence.I feel we look light in the forwards, however I expect a big performance and 2 points to kick start out season. COYD.

| Whilst the Batley game is obviously a tough one, it does offer us the best opportunity of a home win this season, after having Leigh and Featherstone down here. A win will restore some confidence and reassure us that even though our away form has been poor, we're still able to compete and beat teams at home.
I can't help but think about the Eagles game just three days after this one. If we have a physically demanding game against Batley, we're going to be knackered for Wednesday. Some squad rotation is going to be necessary. It's a really tough call for PC from a selection point of view but I think I'd have wanted to put my best team out on Sunday and then deal with Wednesday afterwards.
Personally, I'd have picked Brett Waller and Lee Waterman for the Batley game as I think they could be key players in helping to get us the two points.

| Massive game today, a win will give us confidence to kick on, a defeat will force the club to seek new personel or risk relegation and setting our club back years. My head says another defeat by 20-30 points, my heart says a win by 6-10 points, we the fans need to get behind the lads from the start. COYD.

| Can't defend for that length of time and expect to win, we invited them on with some poor play second half, no lack of effort, but not enough ideas. Was very surprised we took the two when they were on the back foot, showed a lack of confidence I thought. Wasn't sure their last try should have stood, but it did, now onto Wednesday.

| We had no idea in the 2nd half, sorry to say but some of our players aren't good enough ! We need a scrum half if Wilko is out for another long spell !
We didn't give a lot of penalties away but some were at critical stages.

| Going from 14-0 up to lose 16-14 is really disappointing.
Batley seemed to up their game in the second half and we ran out of gas towards the end.
The game-breaker was when Steve Snitch had a try under the posts disallowed for a forward pass, then in the next set of six Batley broke away and scored.
We seemed short on substitutions towards the end. I noticed we only had one inter-change left with 15 minutes to go. The last one was used up just before 70 minutes when Russ Spiers came on to replace Mike Emmett.
I hope Robbo's injury isn't as bad as it looked. The Batley full-back, Johnny Campbell, seemed to take a nasty tumble in the tackle which caused him to be stretchered off. I hope he's okay too.
Again plenty of effort from the Dons. As Weighman says, we didn't give away a lot of penalties but some were at critical stages.
Can we re-group and give Sheffield a game on Wednesday? It'll be very tough and I fear a defeat probably by quite a few points. The next two games at Whitehaven and then at home to Dewsbury become critical for us because after that we've got Bradford at home, Halifax away and another game against Sheffield.

| Disappointed to lose after putting ourselves in a match winning position, a lot of desire and a much more disciplined display, the turning point was when the ref rules out the snitch try which having seen photo wasn't forward, just the luck you get when you are struggling, add that with a few poor decisions later in the game which were caused by a mixture of tiredness and lack of confidence cost us a valuable 2 points.

| a chance of 2pts gone there.
Maybe could have won with a better team selection, waterman weller etc cos gilbey clearly not up to it, he seemed lost and was a liability at times.
Of the 2 games this was the one Cookey should have gone for, cos we are not going to beat sheffield whoever plays.
we are crying out for a good half and some speed on the wings
agreed gamebreaker was Snitch disallowed try.

| I was in line with pass to snitch, it was well forward. Poor 2nd half cost us. Need to come out of Easter with some points to build. Good 1st half.
