| Quote Kick and chase="Kick and chase"Sadly there are more club doncaster ground troopers and brown noses than us realistic die hards! Too many 'supporters' are just glad they have a team to support so the tight old coggers who own club doncaster love the fact we have stagnant fans who will pay up and don't moan. I called Mr Hall out on in the dugout about failures and accountability and he shut the question down and 2wk later it wasn't a thing, does that border on being a dictatorship club???'"
I was part of the Dons Fans Panel at that time along with Wanderer. Wanderer may remember this too, In the Dugout was pulled by Chief Operating Officer, Shaun Lockwood, not by Carl Hall.
I made several requests for it to be brought back as I felt In The Dugout was an important part of keeping the club and fans connected but it never happened.

Like Mr Roebuck says above their arrogance and ego only allows them to answer pre-scripted soft questions. Your forced to along with everything that's served up without a whimper or any questioning and if you don't you get froze out, it's very much akin to being in a cult.

I'm not sure it's arrogance and ego, I think it's more about controlling the narrative and wanting to permanently market the club in a positive light - reducing criticism and negativity from the equation.
From a marketing perspective, if 8 out of 10 people agree with you, the two dissenters are not going to be seen as allies. They may reduce the people who agree with you down to seven. Marketers believe it is better not to give them a platform. This is the type of world we live in: marketing rules. Businesses everywhere do everything they can to manipulate us.
Off topic, but with regards to marketing, I cannot believe how supermarkets get away with 'members prices' and 'non-members prices'. They're not giving 'members' a genuine discount - although this is what they're trying to portray. Indirectly, they're trying to force people to sign up to their 'schemes' as they make money from selling on our data. I refuse to shop anywhere that operates such poor practices.
Personally, I would rather answer any questions head on and try to bring the two out of ten (referred to above) back onside as I'm old school and believe honesty and openness is the best policy.

I do and I recall your requests but as with much (almost all) of what happened around that time, decisions were made and were non-negotiable, merely presented to the Panel so that the phrase 'discussed with the Fan Panel' could subsequently be used.

A bit like politics DM placation through verbal platitudes. And like politics I've had enough of it.
I cant help but think that there could be a lot riding on the RL format for 2025 and the IMG soundings. Call it what you will with my rambling musings but I am of the belief that given our stadium, the community work and our continuous near miss promotion campaigns, we will end up in the newly formatted Championship section. Thus negating any promotion that may happen this season. Maybe the CEO is aware of this maybe he isn't. Time will tell.

| On the game: 'Wasn't a good enough performance' 'they handled the conditions better' On what they will do to rectify things: 'work hard'. Absolutely inspirational words from our egnamic coach! Makes you wanna run through a brick wall for him

| The fact that we were given the runaround by a 37-year old who simply knew how to play the conditions begs the question as to what coaching is being done.
When it’s been raining for the best part of two days before the match, surely it’s not beyond the capabilities of anyone that’s ever watched a game to work out some basic tactics.
I’m getting to the point where I’m expecting yet another ‘glorious’ failure in the playoffs this year, followed by the usual hard-luck excuses.

| On odds alone we aren't going up...there are 4 teams playing for 2nd spot and another playing for the top 6...probably North Wales.
And all those sides are roughly equal that are playing for 2nd....
I suspect we will get done at Worky and even get done at North Wales...having to play away to somebody in the play-offs again.
It don't look good...
But of course we can do it....I think it unlikely....
Time will tell...

I presume this is on Facebook is it, Steve?
I've dug out a few stats, taken from: [urlhttps://www.sofascore.com/tournament/rugby/rugby-league/rfl-championship-1/1586#12604[/url
=#FF0000Champions v Dons
Numbers shown below are: Games played, Won, Drawn, Lost and Points Diff
=#FF0000Champions:
2017 Toronto: 15, 15, 0, 0, +759
2018 York: 26, 24, 0, 2, +822
2019 Whitehaven: 20, 15, 2, 3, +299
2021 Barrow: 17, 13, 1, 3, +321
2022 Keighley: 20, 20, 0, 0, +795
=#0000FFTotal: 98, Win 87 (88%), Drawn 3, Lost 8, Points Diff +2,996
=#FF0000Dons:
2017: 15, 9, 2, 4, +122
2018: 26, 19, 0, 7, +461
2019: 20, 12, 0, 8 +255
2021: 17, 9, 3, 5, +80
2022: 20, 15, 0, 5, +286
=#0000FFTotal: 98, Win 64 (65%), Drawn 5, Lost 29, Points Diff +1,204
The league champions have won 88% of their matches played. We’ve won 65%.
It's interesting to note that none of the last five champions have lost more than 3 games in the season. Dewsbury are likely to achieve this too.

| They can twist things, butter it up or just continue to wear the rose tinted glasses facts are facts and he's 6 seasons in the bottom division with zero promotions! The bloke couldn't motivate me to spend a pound in a strip joint but is obviously ideal for the club as he won't break the bank and comes across as the perfect yes man. The cult like brown noses on fleecebook simply don't realise they are equally to blame as much as the hierarchy for their constant adoration and happy clapping with everything club doncaster do!
