Hally confirmed it today.

I see that Hull FC have released Jacob Miller today. He impressed me when he played for us last season and would love to see him as a regular for us.

Miller and Wilkinson week in week out is a mouth watering prospect!

Would be nice although Hull KR and Wakefield are apparently favourites and last I heard Leigh were interested too.

It has previously been reported that Leigh missed out as he was looking to go back home.

Looking at the signings the other teams have made, the competition in our league is going to be much more intense than last season.

It's essential that we have a bigger squad - which we seem to be building, although it can't be easy for the players who will get little game time, as I'm sure all players like to play on a regular basis.

I still feel that we need three more experienced forwards to be added to the squad. Carl has mentioned one.

Let's hope we get some more news soon.

PS. I had got some minor hopes that Leeds Doncaster-born prop Ian Kirke might be coming our way if Leeds off-loaded him. I've just read that he's been released by Leeds but has signed for Wakefield.

Is any one else concerned that we start training soon and yet seem to have fewer props now than we had last year even though this was clearly our biggest problem area?

Yes, but I have confidence the matter will be resolved !

Because it would be nice to have some reassurance from absolutely any source since the issue is very worrying.

The squad may be packed with potential, but as of today it looks weakish..

I also note we are low on hookers - solve these two issues and I will start getting really excited about seeing all these kids in action.

Can we assume there will be no more of the 2014 players signing on for 2015 , thinking of Wilson,Nicklas & Spaven ?

I certainly hope not - while I am unsure about Nicklas, Wilson appears to be a good young player in the mould that we are trying to recruit and Spaven
scored some crucial tries for us from dummy half - in particular the one against Leigh.
