Glenn Morrison has reportedly been injured in pre-season training with Wakefield and forced to retire.

The 35-year old suffered a seemingly innocuous training ground injury whilst coaching in the first week of pre-season and medical experts have confirmed worst fears that he has suffered a labral tear in his left shoulder as well as major damage to the joint capsule and bone damage that will require repairing by taking bone from his hip.

Morrison met with shoulder specialist, Professor Funk who explained that due to the extent of the injury and the major surgery that was required, he would have no option but to retire from playing, meaning he will now focus entirely on his role as Wildcats Assistant Coach.

I personally would not put into a Morrison fund. great experience but not one for the Dons IMO

Agreed - especially as if we did sign him I've a feeling TM would push Hodson permanently into the scrum half role, when the guy himself said he could only fill in there - we need a specialist to lead us round the park as has been said many times already tbh so I guess I/we are covering old ground here, but hey, is it our fault that it remains relevant?

Lennon, 29, played for the Crusaders in 2008 and 2009 and now plays in Australia for Burleigh Bears.

Clinton Schifcofski was with Celtic Crusaders last season and doesn't seem to have a club at the moment. He's just had his 36th birthday and plays full back mainly or on the wing.
