I'm sure the 'Rat's' name will already be widely known around the Rugby community,, whoever it is, I cant see him playing pro again and even amateur clubs will be wary of signing him.. Infact he will be lucky if an employer of any description would give him a job.

i dont think the said player doing the rounds is currently playing for anybody, he was released from a fellow championship one club earlier in the year, interestingly due to financial reasons

I'll take the bull by the horns ... The report names David Bates as the third person at the meeting between Shaun Leaf and the Sun's Geoff Sweet ...
No problem with the fact that the report states that ... however we still have to tread carefully in terms of what is said in the sense that this is not yet proven (the protocol still is 'innocent until proven guilty').
One thing is for sure, the League Weekly has thus-far been very supportive of Shaun's situation and very anti-The Sun for what it believes is sensationalistic journalism with little substance behind it. |

yeh,I did buy it - it was David Bates' away shirt, ironically it was bought from Leafy !!!! Shaun was really good about it and even managed to get all this years squad to sign it for me including Carl & Tony.
By the way,I sponsored David Bates last season which is really rubbing salt in the wound ! would anyone like his (DBs) email address to send comments ? Just 'pm' me..........
It is now proudly pinned to the spare room wall amongst some of the other signed memorabilia - it has it's place between Brett McDermotts signed testimonial shirt and last years signed Saints shirt
