Well, here we go a new season starts.
In the next 2 games, starting with this one, we will have a pretty good idea of the size of our promotion chances.
NW Crusaders will be a tidy test and a game we must win, on a par with a trip to the Skolars would be.
It's a good marker.
Followed by the visit of Barrow the favourites for promotion.
Similarly we have to win this game too, if we are serious contenders.
So an ideal pair of games to start with.

We have some very good playmakers and so the season should throw up some nice tries.
However the general picture is not that promising.
Let's have a look at last year's top two who were better than us and are both now doing fairly rubbish in the league above.
Let's also look at Sheffield who stuffed us at the Keepmoat but are also doing rubbish so far.
Let's look at our performance yesterday and more generally our defence.
RH has made a point of saying that this is his area of focus and so it should be.

So that is my take, I see no difference in the challenge ahead if we don't win both these games and see losses at the usual places like Hunslet, Keighley, Barrow and Newcastle.

As I see it, we will struggle in defence and pull up very few trees with the forwards. 3 of our forwards are good however.

We will soon find out ...

Some positions up for grabs , we will have more attacking options with Beharrell & England back.

There have been a couple of forwards who have not impressed as yet in my humble opinion.
With all other C1 matches being postponed due to the CC having priority we have a chance to put down a marker.

Yes I think we are the only game left unaffected by the weekends weather, thanks to us and North Wales both playing on Saturday

Weather forecast not good again for week end.

Sunday looks to be a test with both a confident Crusdaders and a forecast of heavy rain and very windy. My hope is for any kind of win.

Looking at the weather forecast for Sunday in Wrexham, it looks every bit has bad has last Sundays when games were called off. Would not be surprised it did not go ahead.

According to the Official RL site Brad England has not made the 21 man squad.

Hedges , Lawton & Dixon also missing . Would like to see Holdstock starting in the 2nd row.

The match must be in doubt with all the rain forecast for N Wales for Sat & Sunday .

The best thing that can happen is that this game is postponed ...
otherwise it is a lottery and one the Dons could easily lose, but on a good day should win.
Also this gives everyone another week to get ready ...

i have just read that AFC Wrexham have cancelled there game on Saturday due to adverse weather expected Sat and Sun.do west wales still play on the same ground.

We play North Wales Crusaders who also play in Wrexham but not at the Racecourse .
