The 'home' games against Newcastle and Whitehaven will be at Fev's ground ... got to give those poor buggers a chance.

I know the pitch has to be re-surfaced , but surely there are other options closer to home.

Athletics pitch ? Castle park ? Even armthorpe wellfair or rossington main would be options to keep us playing in Doncaster... surprised if there will be more than a couple of hundred at each game. It’s not like there key games either... the decisions this club continue to make are baffling

The Athletics surface was un usable last time I saw it (admittedly a while ago). Previous years I have thought Armthorpe Welfare could be an option

Unless the club organise transport, myself and my Wife will not be going.
This happened last season and I said then that if it happened again, that would be it for me.
No season tickets next season and there will be no further support from us. The club cannot be serious in thinking they can just do to the fans without repercussions.

Well if Toronto can be allowed to play in blocks why can't Doncaster make an application to the RFL to be playing only away league games during this relaying period on the basis that Toronto are allowed to to make things easier.
I am not that bothered about seeing a few games at Fev, except I can't have a beer.
It's not that, it is the loss of much of the advantage.
No disadvantage to Whitehaven or Newcastle.
Instead of looking for other grounds Dons should looking to move fixtures.

Whether the Rovers could fit that is the thing ... probably not.

what makes it worse is iv'e just seen on website the fixture has even been moved by 5 weeks so why can't they do that to keep the games at Doncaster or as SO says
exchange for some away games would be more sensible, but these rules only apply to certain clubs.

that only leaves me 3 available home games left to go to in the next 5 months
may as well have just paid on the gate only seen 3 games now so it will have cost me £10 a game

This annual pilgrimage is one of the reasons we did not purchase season tickets. Fev will provide very good hospitality for the Club (wining and dining the CEO and the sponsors) and we will be told its an excellent venue blah blah blah. Two of our big home games are now away and with sod all advantage for the home team. It is getting beyond a joke and we will not be travelling for these games.

And they want us to believe that they are serious about promotion, abode of lollocks.

Yep makes no difference to Mr hall where we play.... donny rovers season starts on the 3rd of August. So are u telling me that 6 days earlier the pitch won’t be ready to use... load of S**T....

With everything that has gone off this season, watching the dons is become too tiresome... I’m at the point now where I’m seriously considering this to be my last season... I’m on holiday for the Oldham game so that leaves just 1 home game vs west wales between now and mid August. And they wonder why crowds are low..

I raised the issue of these two games being moved with someone with connections to the club at the Hunslet home game and was told that they would be played as normal because the surface work was now a bi annual event.

There have been numerous comments about seeking out Doncaster based venues but for my money if the CEO is happy we should all be happy.
