| Russia, Serbia and Spain have named their squads for October’s European Championship B, which doubles as a qualifier for the 2021 Rugby League World Cup in England. The top two nations will join Italy (the winners of Euro C) and the bottom two nations from the European Championship, in a final qualifying tournament in a year’s time.
Jason Muranka is in the Serbia squad. The other Championship One player called up is the feisty Newcastle half-back Remy Marginet. He's in the Spain squad. Eloi Pelissier from London Bronco's is the other name in the Spanish squad that is familiar to us.

| I understand Kes was called up for the Poland squad for the emerging nations world cup in Australia but it clashes with the Dons play offs

| I think Muranka has really stood out this year , he does lots of the little things right that tends to go unnoticed .
I think over the last month he has been one of our most consistant performers.

| He's arguably our most improved player this year, I'll be honest at the start of the year I wouldn't have had him in the team.

Muranka is no longer rhyming slang.

| Connor would be my pick for most improved. After the incident during the Newcastle game, knowing he was taking next ball in was one of my favourite moments of the last few weeks. He's been a pleasure to watch. On subject tho. Is Jason actually playing? I'd loved to have seen Kes play for Poland.

| Fully agree with the points made about Jason and Connor. Jordie Hedges is another who has improved no end this year too.
It's great to see these lads develop. It shows that we have to give them time. It's not possible to become the finished article overnight.
Connor Scott running the ball in after the Newcastle incident was one of my most memorable moments of the season too. The self-discipline that he showed during the incident was absolutely first class; extremely professional.

As a Hull fan can you explain the Connor Scott incident?

They had been giving him needle most of the second half. He took the ball in for a drive and as he was being held up by in the tackle their guy wading in with a few head shots with Connor losing his shirt in the process. The Newcastle player was sent off.
At the following penalty Connor was screaming for the ball at first receiver and knocked them about all like ten pins setting up a subsequent try. Remember him standing after the tackle and looking at the defenders as if to say "Don't dick about with me again yeah?"

| Yep, good description Jemmo. Connor didn't seem too bothered about having to get a shirt on, he was ready to go bare-skinned!
