I came into following the Dons with my Father -in Law in 1978, he was always a ardent fan of League, I was a committed Rovers fan, my goodness it was desperate stuff back then. Tattersfield and all its charm of stinky loo's and a bog like pitch and yet it was riveting. Would we, could we win a game. I loved it, I loved the fact that no bugger gave us a chance and yet there was always the hope that despite that fact we may just win a game. It turned through the appointment of John Sheridan, not a first but bit by bit we turned a corner. Parky, David Noble, Neil Turner, Gibbo, Roachy and on it went.We beat Workington 46-6 and they sacked their Coach. Hey up I thought we may have a team as Kev Jones ploughed through the mud and went in under the sticks.

I've enjoyed it I never thought of giving it up but for both myself and Glyn this season has been well, a season that sticks in the craw. Something is amiss, we have tried to regain that missing spark that drove us on, but its gone. I have missed more games this year than in the past 37, its not good.

Will take something a little bit more like the old Dons spirit to reinvigorate the feeling for next year. Fingers bloody crossed ( and no sharp objects)

I will reserve my judgement on thornton until next season but i know alot of fans on their forums were slating him and laughing that we had appointed him, the way i look at it is id rather watch 13 blokes knocking the shiiite out of each other than sulking walking around meadowhell with the missus!

I see it more as a forum or outlet for supporters getting rid of there frustrations of a complete disastrous & rubbish season for there rugby league team

Seems to be a recurring theme people saying they are not going anymore, it's a great shame it's come this, the club needs all the support it can get. But everyone has the right to make up their own mind, it's up to the club to, hopefully, entice people back.
