| We arrived at the KM and went to sit in the end block to have a steward run up the steps to say 'you can't sit in this block, please can you use the seats at the other side of the gangway' and then five minutes later they're letting all and sundry sit where we have just been moved from! This is about the third time this has happened to us this season! What difference does it make if we sit on the left or the right hand side of the gangway and why should the decision change in five minutes?
Earlier this season i saw three young lads of around ten years of age all sat quietly watching the game with one of thems mother, committing the capital offence of drinking a can of pop, fortunately the ever alert stewards quickly clamped down on this potential crowd trouble.
I know there are rules, but how about using a bit of common sense? They are stewarding Donny V Gateshead with a monster crowd of 650, it's not Millwall V West Ham! If the stand is open why can't you sit where ever you want? If i wasn't a committed supporter i would not come again as it seems all they want to do is stop you enjoying the game. I know this is not the clubs fault but it just highlights another downside of sharing with the Rovers.

It makes it easier for them to keep an eye on us, which is their job.
It is fairly petty though.
But someone still needs to be in charge and that is a good thing IMHO.
Letting people bring in cans of any description is against the rules. Mainly because they want to flog you the stuff ...
And I think it is right that they disarm anyone caught doing it.
Otherwise people would start bringing in really dangerous weapons like golf brollies.
Drums are OK though!

I just thought it was because no-one had invaded Poland for a few years and they just wanted to pull on the Jackboots and take it out on us.

'I was only following orders' didn't cut much ice at Nuremburg.

There may be a slight difference between war crimes and confiscating someone's can of pop.

Dead right. There's just no excuse for taking a can of Tizer.

| Maybe he was thirsty?...... Seriously though, my son takes pop with him and he's never had a problem. We do sit on the very top row though so maybe they can't be bothered to walk that far

| Good question I've taken a flask in a few times and never been stopped, it is clearly visible, i'm carrying it. I suppose it's because cans are easily ripped and could be used to cut someone, might not matter if I batter someone over the head with my flask

It would matter to the person being battered over the head.

Flasks are ok just as long as you only sit on the left hand side of the gangway, at least for the first five minutes until someone else turns up.

| You lot want to get to Rochdale and witness their stewarding...it really is obsurd!
My highlights being: One Steward demanding the film from a camera because they believe they may have been caught on a photo without their permission.
A pensioner having a bottle of gin confiscated...a bottle which she had just won in a raffle in the bar at the ground
Being asked to sit down because we were blocking the view of a sponsors box. An empty sponsors box
