Hello all,
On Bank holiday Monday 31st August we are once again holding the Annual Charity Fun Day in aid of the Kevin Parkhouse Memorial Sports Fund. It's being held at Ryecroft Road Playing Field, Ryecroft Road Campsall and starts at 12 noon, there will be a BBQ, beer tent, stalls, rides and sporting activities for the kids with prizes to be won.
We are looking for as many people to attend as possible so pass the word!!
We are also looking for people to contribute and take part, eg: face painter, rides, stalls and other activities, as well as some willing volunteers to take part in the many sporting activities that are taking place such as tug of war, rounders and possibly a footy/rugby game.
It could also be an opportunity for some one to attend and maybe drum up some much needed support for the Dons.
Rugby League used to be massive in the Campsall/Askern area, sadly it has long since died.
Thank you all for your continued support and hope to see some of you on the 31st.

I understand that and sympathise.... I was very fond of Parky and I walked to Castleford to raise money for the the Parky Memorial Fund.
I remember vividly when he died and where....which clearly the newspaper couldn't...that was my point.

Don't worry I fully understand, and there was definately no conflict, sorry if it came across as aggressive. I think it's all a bit un-nessesary don't you.
Any way hopefully thats all tidied up and it's all smiles again, so fingers crossed we will see you on the 31st, if not I will keep every one updated on future fund raising events or you can keep checking out the website.
Alternatively we have funds available if you know of anyone who maybe able to benefit from them.

Bentley good companions rugby league could do with a bit of help.
It would be nice if there were any players willing to come down and train with the team, we have been promoted this year and are looking at recruitment, so if you know anyone please let me know and i will pass the information onto the coach Liam Higgins ( Cas player ).

Unfortunately we don't have access to any coaching staff, however we do sponsor the Rugby League Scholarship Programme and I know they have some pretty dedicated guys coaching that. It might be an idea to contact them and see if they would be willing to help or they may have some contacts for some coaches who could spare some time.
Alternatively you could see if you could send some of your younger lads to train with the scholarship.
I hope you get sorted.

Thanks Parky8 we dont need a coach just some more players and it would be good to have some from my home town playing for Bentley. |

It would be even better if you could poach some of the young tallent from the Scholarship Programme. Like you said they are from Donny and it would not only benefit you, but it would give them playing experience.
It's only a Scholarship Programme some of the lads don't get to play that often as they don't have an actual team, although some come from external teams to train.
Lets hope you find some new stars amoung them.
