The game is in a mess, I'm sure they'll come through it, but how many more clubs are on the brink I wonder.

Very sad news. Having no proper stadium to play in but going full-time seemed like a strange route to take. I hope they pull through. We need rugby to thrive across South Yorkshire. The game will be much poorer should Sheffield not survive.

I think in hindsight was a very bad decision to go full time , with no ground , fewer fans than us !

Sheffield Eagles CEO John Whaling has reported that the Club is close to finalising a rescue package with a new owner and that the same investor plans to develop a new stadium at the Olympic Legacy Park.

Ground will not be ready for start of the season though according to an interview I heard Saturday, Aston to talk to players current and new this week.
Good news .

Yes, they have conceded that the stadium won't be available at the start of the 2017 season but remain hopeful that some games could be played there.
