Gateshead Thunder are pleased to announce that current Ireland Head Coach and former Thunder Head Coach Andy Kelly has returned to Gateshead Thunder as a First Team Coach.
Kelly, who has also coached Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, Dewsbury Rams and Featherstone Rovers, took Ireland to the 2008 Rugby League World Cup where they were defeated in the Semi Final Qualifier by Fiji.
Kelly and Director of Rugby Chris Hood first had discussion last week with regards to Kelly working with Thunder, and Hood is delighted that he has accepted.

Not enough play makers for the Dons (we have one now Allen has gone)....despite Gateshead being theoretically weak....is asking for it IMHO.

Well this lot have accepted.....it therefore follows that others would....and it also follows that among those others there would be a decent half back.
Simple flow chart....
Identify problem.....>not sufficient play-makers.......>get off and find some.
Money is not the issue.... IMHO....effort is. |
