I am not sure if many know my grandson Jack (5) has Leukaemia . He is doing well but will be one of the population who receive a 12 week isolation letter this week. Jack attends matches occasionally with his brother Charlie , Dad , Janet & my self.

This week i received an E Mail from Carl`wishing us all good health. He also offered us assistance , if required from the club.

The lad is a fighter, knows more about his treatment than I do. Well into his maintenance period (3 years) , his immune system is the worry.

I'm really sorry to hear such sad news Paul. Keep fighting and keep hoping...

I'm sure the NHS staff will all do their very best for you. I had cancer five years ago and went through chemotherapy and radical surgery.

I'm not quite up to filling in in the front row if we get short of players but I made a full recovery. Jack can do the same and have a long and fulfilling life.

Carol and I are keeping well, thanks. We're trying to self-isolate as much as we can but dog walking and shopping still mean we're getting out.

PS. We've been watching the recent TV documentary on the North York Moors Railway. Watching it reminds me of that day we bumped into each other on the platform at Pickering station!
