Quote Wilf Grimshaw="Wilf Grimshaw"Spot on DM. I really did think given the record so far of both sides that the Dons would lose at Oldham, it was a concern born out of the Dons points conceded column and their record of switching off or in some first half performances not switching on at all, a case of will the real Dons please stand up.
Credit to the players yesterday for that comeback, it must have been something to behold for the travelling fans, who after 46mins thought the game was up. There does see to be something extra with this current squad and its good to see.
As for peoples written thoughts and social media, its a reflection of the current state of society where its far to easy to jump on someone's thoughts and concerns in an effort to shut them up. You can call me grumpy all day long, I've had a lot worse, grumpiness IMO is usually voiced due to concern.'"
Agree, Wilf, the effort and togetherness of the players can't be underestimated. They dug deep when it mattered and that counts for an awful lot.
The thing I reckon we all got right about yesterday was that it'd be a high scoring game due to both sides points against column!
Moving forwards, if we meet Oldham again in the play-offs, we should have the upper hand mentally but the teams are relatively closely matched, so nothing can be taken for granted.
