| Don’t know if it’s something to do with missing a couple of seasons but I’m finding watching the Dons to be quite boring at present.
I’m glad I don’t have to pick a man of the match because I’m struggling to see anyone stamping any authority on any games so far.
A win is a win I guess but looking at Cornwall, it was always a case of how many would we score.
My highlight: their score that started from a risky pass inside their own in-goal area.
Hopefully, better things to come.

| The home game on 1st May will be a decent indicator for this season IMO.

| Cornwall tried hard and I wish them well. It's difficult starting out from scratch as they're doing.
It was a tough one for the Dons in that we were always expected to win, so if we didn't win by plenty and concede few, we may appear to have under-achieved.
Promising performances from Ben Howe and Robbie Storey. I hope Travis Corion's try helps give him some confidence.
I stayed on to watch Eagles v London Broncos. Brad Foster got sin-binned early on. The extra size of the players, the intensity of the game and the players' ability to back up when needed were a decent notch up from League One standard.
Eagles won easily in the end but the sides looked closely matched in the first half. The Sheffield forwards worked hard to grind London down and Anthony Thackray was outstanding at scrum half. Both teams tried to do things differently, London often top-loaded the open side by bringing the short-side winger over and one of Sheffield's tries was from a switch back play. It was good to see some innovation from the coaches.
I felt a bit jealous as I drove home... I wish we could get to the Championship and have a side that could compete. It seems a long, long time since we finished fourth in that league.
Never mind, I'm looking forward to the Oldham match in a couple of weeks' time.
