So now it comes out that we only had 12 for training and had to top up with the Eagles lads. In hindsight it was there to see. A settled team at any sport level is usually a big bonus.
Looks like even after signing the largest squad of players for years, after the joke of a dual reg fiasco with Hull , it looks like we are down on numbers due to Covid , injuries and players leaving.
I think because of Covid teams are reluctant to send players out on loan , you could tell the lads from Sheffield had not had much game time as Bobby Tyson Wilson was blowing out of his backside after two carries and was struggling to get back on side all the time he was on.
Jordan Bull looked way off the pace and didn't reappear after the break.
Ward and Harry Tyson Wilson went ok but you could tell the team had been thrown together at the last minute.
Our performance Sunday was awful and has been coming for a few weeks now , however with a few bodies back and what should be a win Saturday, the team can get back on the
horse and finish the season strongly.
I hope so , we had a good chance of finishing 2nd with Workington our main contenders . If Barrow beat Worky & we do , we are back in the race . But the 3 point loss was a big blow.
